"No! Please, please stop!" I heard my mum's voice scream from downstairs. This was reality. I couldn't do anything about it. All I could do was stay upstairs in my room and hear the ongoing suffering that was unfolding downstairs. My stomach rumbled violently as I hadn't eaten for nearly two days. I laid on my bed and stared at the ceiling, with the horrifying soundtrack of screaming and shouting in the background.

After a few minutes the shouting calmed down. I heard the faint sound of crying. All of a sudden, heavy footsteps thundered up the stairs, coming closer and closer to my room. I prepared myself for what was to come. My bedroom door flew open, and within a blink of an eye a muscular figure towered over me, staring down at me with nothing but evil in his eyes. I wanted to lash out in some way but I knew I couldn't, because if I did, the consequences would be terrible. I could only lay there. He lowered down slowly, his evil eyes still staring down at me. I gulped nervously.

My eyes shot open as the sound of my alarm grew louder. My breathing was heavy. I calmed down before turning off my alarm. That was a good way to start the day. It was 7am, and a new half term at school, great. I stretched and used all my energy to haul myself out of bed.

The reason I've skipped a whole week was because it was pretty uneventful. I just hung out with Tabitha a few times and we grew more closer as friends.

There were both good and bad factors to today. The bad factors being it was a Monday and it was a school day, but the good was that I got to hang out with Tabitha and that it was Halloween. I love halloween, I think everyone does. Well, a lot of people do anyway. I was going trick or treating with my friend Preston, and I was going to see if Tabitha wanted to join us. I didn't really know what to dress up as so I went with skeleton zombie pirate school boy. Yes, I'm creative.

I got ready for school even though I felt sluggish. I just needed to get get through 6 hours of hell then I'll be home again. After doing the usual (breakfast, shower, brushing teeth, style hair) I got changed into my uniform. That's what happens when you go to school in the UK, you get school uniform. Mine consisted of a white button up shirt, black trousers, a black blazer and a navy and grey striped tie. I got into them and grabbed my school bag and made my way downstairs. Dan and Phil were still in bed so it was silent. I went out the front door and made my way to hell- I mean school, no I mean hell.

I entered the school and went to my locker and then to my first lesson. Maths. A great way to start a Monday morning. What makes things worse was that I hated my maths teacher. I despised him. He always picked on me and gave me death glares if I got even the tiniest thing wrong. He thinks maths is the best thing ever, yeah right. I knew that Tabitha wasn't going to be in the first lesson as she was having an induction with the head teacher and other members of the senior staff. She was lucky missing out on maths.

I got to my maths class where I saw Preston leaning against some lockers.
"Hey, looking forward to tonight?" I asked. Preston looked up from his phone and nodded.
"It's gonna be great. My mum was all like "you're too old to go trick or treating." She is so wrong." I smiled and nodded. "So, where's your bird." Preston smirked and chuckled. I rolled my eyes and smirked.
"She isn't my bird. She's just a friend." I began. Preston was smirking at me. He wasn't having any of it. "She is just a friend. Anyway, she's having some induction during this lesson so you won't see her till next lesson." Preston nodded slightly.
"Bet she's getting told some of the shit rules this school has. Does she wear makeup?"
"Not much, only some eyeliner and maybe that foundation stuff, whatever it's called. Basically, very subtle makeup, unlike some people." Preston knew exactly who I was hinting at. Preston glanced over my shoulder and rolled his eyes. A little hint of disgust appeared on his face.
"Talk of the devil." He murmured. I sighed in annoyance and rolled my eyes. Erica. I knew she was going to make some snide comment towards me. She brushed past, a strong scent of perfume wafted up my nose. She carried on walking until she was standing with two of her mates. She didn't actually say anything to me, that was a first. A few moments later the classroom door opened, indicating lesson had started. Joy.

There was only ten minutes left of the lesson when the teacher got interrupted. The door opened slowly and a figure walked in hesitantly. Everyone shot glances at who was standing there. Tabitha. The teacher turned from the board and smiled slightly.
"You must be the new girl." He said. Tabitha nodded once.
"Yeah." She murmured. She looked up and locked eyes with me for a few seconds and smiled. I smiled back and a few people realised, even the teacher.
"Well, you can... You can sit behind Dil. Dil wave your-"
"I know where Dil is, sir." Tabitha calmly informed. The teacher glanced at me. Not as death filled as usual, that was a first in a while. Tabitha made her way to the seat behind me, where she sat next to Preston.
"There's no point in you starting any work," my maths teacher droned on. "I'll get you an exercise book so you have one ready for next lesson." He approached the file cabinet at the back of the class and got out a book. He placed it in front of Tabitha.
"Thanks." She muttered. No response. He wanted to get back to maths so desperately. I turned around.
"That was a quick induction." I whispered.
"Quick? It felt like hours." Tabitha replied. Preston cleared his throat. I knew what he was getting at. I gestured at Preston.
"Tabitha, this is Preston. Preston, Tabitha."
"Dil, turn around now." A voice bellowed suddenly. Tabitha jumped and low key shit her pants. I turned round and there was the death glare. Shock horror.

The final 10 minutes went quite quickly, and we were soon off to chemistry. Not much happened in that lesson, until break time, that was.

Tabitha, Preston and I were walking down to the canteen when someone barged into me. I tripped up a little, then straightened my tie. A strong scent of perfume was present again. Erica
I looked up and saw her smug little face. I rolled my eyes.
"What do you want now?" I said with annoyance. She smirked.
"I see you're showing new emo girl around the school. Do you remember me from Starbucks last week?" Erica got closer to Tabitha. Tabitha looked a little uncomfortable. She nodded.
"Yeah I do. You're pathetic, you know that?" She murmured through slightly gritted teeth. Erica laughed sarcastically.
"Is that the best thing you can come up with, missy?" She smirked. How I wanted to punch her.
"I don't wanna fight with you, but you are just... Just such a bitch and you don't care about anyone else but yourself-" Tabitha was cut off when Erica pushed her over. People around us saw and ran over, watching to see what happened. Everyone was hyped up as Preston and I helped Tabitha up. Erica was still smirking, feeling proud of herself.

A teacher pushed through the small crowd and confronted us.
"What's going on?" His voice boomed.
"She was getting up all in my face so I told her the truth and then she pushed me over." Tabitha said, pointing at Erica. The well built man looked at Erica.
"Is this true?" He asked. Erica shook her head. No surprise there.
"Not true at all. She was getting all rowdy at me for some unknown reason."
"What?! That's a lie!"
"Alright!" The man shouted. Both girls fell silent. "Whatever happened, just stop it. I don't think Erica would do something like that but please, get on with your lives." And with that he left. Erica smirked at us and walked away, looking as though she owned the place. Tabitha turned to Preston and I. She threw up her arms in anger.
"What the actual fuck? Why didn't you two step in when Erica was lying?" She asked, anger was in her voice. Preston and I looked at each other then back to Tabitha.
"What?" She asked.
"There was no point." I said.
"Why?"
"Because.. That was Erica's dad. He's the deputy head teacher." I stated. Tabitha's eyes widened slightly.
"Great. She doesn't get in trouble then does she? Fucking 'princess'." She rolled her eyes and headed towards the canteen. Welcome to Willow Creek Academy, Tabitha.
