Chapter 17

~Tori's POV~

Well, I told him. I told him everything. Now, for some reason, I feel a lot better. I think I needed someone to vent to. I've never had anyone to vent to. It feels so much better to get those things off of my chest. 

I am sick of crying, but it felt nice when he held me while I was an uncontrollable sobbing mess. 

I am curious to know what his family life is like. Surely it is better than mine. But, ya never know. For all I know I could look like a sissy to him, who knows what he has gone through.  Finally he spoke.

"Well, I haven't had the perfect home life either. Your's is worse, but mine isn't great either. You know my little brother Kellin, I also have a little sister named Lilly. I live with them and my mother in a small apartment on the south side."

"You drive an escalade though? Where is your father?"

"The escalade was my cousins that died. My father left me when I was 2 and Kellin and Lilly's dad left when Lilly turned 3. Kellin is 7 and Lilly is 6. My mom works in a factory down town and I use my money from the fights to help." 

I felt bad for him as well. I didn't know what to say though. He has gone through a lot. I mean at least I had a good dad for a while. He hasn't even had that. I don't want him living like that. I want him to be safe and I want his family to be safe. 

What about championships, he needs that money more than I do. Shit I have an idea.

"So what are you going to do about your dad? Are you staying?"

"Yes, I am staying."

"That's good, I don't want you to go."

I smiled at him, and snuggled up closer to him. I really like him, I have never liked someone like this before. It kind of scares me but I like it. 

"Hey, Ryder."

"Hmm?"

"I want you to bring your mom and Kellin and Lilly here tomorrow for dinner."

"Tori, you don't need to do that. I don't need sympathy and you have enough to worry about."

"Ryder, I want to meet the woman who gave birth to you and your siblings. You have no say in this. Call your mom. Right now. I want to listen to you ask her and hear her response so I know you aren't trying to skip out on it."

He mumbled something that resembled profanity as he got out his phone. I watched him scroll though his contacts and press the one that said 'mom'. The phone rang for a second then a woman answered. He put it on speaker. 

"Ryder. Hello, darling. Where are you? Are you okay?" There was a lot of worry in her voice.

"Yes mom. I am fine. I am at my girlfriend's house." Girlfriend's house? Really Ryder? He hadn't even asked me out yet and he is calling me his girlfriend. 

"Really? Brittany? I thought you and her broke up?" She said Brittany's name in disgust. I already like this woman.

"No mom not Brittany. I ended things with her a while ago. I'm with Tori now. You would like her, mom. Speaking of Tori, she invited all of us over to her house for dinner tomorrow. She really wants to meet you."

"I think she sounds like a lovely young lady. I would love to meet her as well. What time does she want us to come over?"

I held my fingers up showing 6 o'clock. 

"6. She wants us over at 6." 

"Alright, baby boy. I love you and I will see you when you get home." She made a kissing noise into the phone and hung up, I giggled slightly at the 'baby boy' and kissy noises part. It was adorable. 

"What is so funny?"

"Nothing. Nothing at all." I say with a big toothy smile. 

"Liar."

"Am not."

"Are so."

"Am not."

"Are so."

"Am not."

"Liars get punished." He had a devilish smile and before could move he was straddling me and tickling my sides. 

I laughed and laughed. I almost peed myself. 

"Stop!! Ryder stop!! Please Stop."

He kept tickling me.

"Say I am the most awesome and hottest piece of man candy you have ever had the honor of meeting." Was he insane? He was really going to make me say it. Finally I had enough. I couldn't take it anymore, I was seriously about to piss myself. 

"Fine!! Ryder, you are the most awesome and hottest piece of man candy I have ever had the honor of meeting!! There I said it. Now get off!" He pecked me on the lips after he stopped ticking me, and got up.

"Much better." Was what he said before he got up. 

"I hate you." I stuck out my tongue.

"Love you too, babe."

"Oh and what was the whole me being your girlfriend thing on the phone?" I asked while walking to the kitchen to get a bottle of water. I grabbed one for Ryder too. Ryder's girlfriend. I kind of like the sound of that.

"Ohhh, well um if you don't want to be my girlfriend." He sounded awkward and he was blushing. Ryder was blushing!!

"You just never asked me, that is all." I played it off like no big deal, sat down and handed him a water bottle.

"I'm sorry. Tori, will you be my girlfriend?"

What I did next surprised me, I got on top of him and kissed him. Not just a little peck on the lips, but a full on make out session. 

After a minute he broke it and said, "So I take it that is a yes." I bit my lip and nodded and he kissed me again. We kissed for a while, but his mom got worried and called him. He ended up having to go home. And for the first time in a long time I went to bed happy. 

Ryder is my boyfriend. And my plan is working perfectly.
