"Felicity?" An all too familiar voice pulled the blonde girl out of her computer. "Oliver." She sighed in distaste. She was still angry. She was angry at Isabel, she was angry at Diggle, and at Oliver for promoting her directly to become his secretary. It wasn't that she didn't like working for Queen Consolidated; it was because she had become Oliver Queen's secretary; and since this was Oliver Queen, word always traveled about the IT girl and the company's CEO-this just made it even more believable. "Look, I don't want to be going down 18 floors every minute to discuss how we spend our nights!" He sighed. "And I love spending the night with you-...gah!" She mentally cursed her word vomit. "3...2...1..." She started calming down; Oliver bit his lip and turned on his heel, ready to get booted out of Felicity's bubble to give her space. "Do-you know I went to MIT?! I worked very hard to get where I am, and to tip you off, that is in the IT department, and not the secretarial arts!" She snapped and kept him from leaving. "Look, Felicity I'm trying to show you that you're appreciated here, and it fits the cover." He tried. "I haven't worked my-my...ass off just to fetch you coffee!" She hissed, flashing him a warning glance. "Felicity!" He finally caught her attention before the blonde girl could rant off all of her objections. "I need you to track the van GPS signals and ping the workers' phones to look into SCPD's files." He sighed. Somehow they had ended up in Oliver's office. Felicity managed to calm down and gathered her composure once more. "Fine." She said before turning on her heel to walk away but then stopped before she exited the [aggravatingly] handsome man's office. "Oh wait, can I get you a coffee?" She asked with the remnants of frustration still in her system; when he didn't answer and just sighed she stormed off and back into her 'office' space, plopping into the chair.
I'm never getting him a coffee, ever! She mentally screamed and leaned back into her [also annoyingly comfortable] chair, closing her eyes. She absolutely loved to be around Oliver as much as possible, but when he decided to bring her out of her little IT cave, she decided she wasn't quite comfortable with being out of her little wormhole she enjoyed. Diggle gave her a pitiful look; she shook her head and went back to work. At least, before the hell the team of three went through in the following week-several near death experiences included, even for Felicity, nearly getting mauled alive in an underground club, but thanks to a certain hooded friend, she made it out alive-not to mention in one piece. He may have deserved a little something. Maybe a small token of appreciation, even if it practically made the IT girl want to pull her teeth out knowing she went back on her little vow she made a week ago. She sighed and grabbed a spare container, filling it and adding a couple of touches before slowly walking over to see Oliver inspecting his newest injury: a large gash from his elbow to the tip of his shoulder, an angry red color. Felicity winced at this, but approached the beautiful man nonetheless, her throat closing, knowing it was her fault that Oliver was hurt. He almost died to protect her."Here." She said and set the coffee on his desk, turning to leave immediately after, feeling the guilt eat away at her. But a hand caught her and gently urged her to stay back. "Felicity." His raspy voice pleaded; she urged her body to relax, her forearm burning where his fingers were ever so gently curled, dangerously close to her hand. "I don't have a-anything..." She started to lose herself in his eyes. "Yes you do." He whispered softly, gently nudging her closer once more. His hand on her cheek. "You have a love for what you do. And you care." He told the blonde beauty. Her heart was pounding; she was silently squeaking in disbelief-this really was happening. "I can't n-not care. Especially when it comes to you and your insanely life-threatening-" She couldn't speak. Because she was wrapped in his strong arms, he was kissing her. What the flippin' Christ is happening. She screamed but her knees were weak, her stomach consumed with butterflies, heck they were everywhere. She practically collapsed into Oliver's arms, but he held her as if she was more precious than life itself, which of course she was-to him. She couldn't believe it, not even realizing that her fragmented sentence self was experiencing Oliver Queen's heavenly lips. She wouldn't even know what to say when he finally would pull away, nothing probably. She sighed in amazement and knowing she'd have to close her mouth after the kiss would end.
Although Oliver was still there, she felt his strong and warm heartbeat within his chest, right beneath her palm, she felt alive and loved. Felicity was on top of the world.
"I guess coffee isn't so bad after all." He whispered softly against her lips. Felicity agreed to let this pass for once.
