Jade's POV

"Where are we going?" Leigh-Anne's voice rang after I managed to start my jeep. "It's a suprise." My signature smirk made it's way onto my face, I knew she hated surprises. "Jade! Goddamn you and your surprises!" She huffed. I giggled watching as she dramatically pulled at her face, she was so cute.
"C'mon Pinnock we gotta go." I scooped her up off the ground and into my arms. "Oi!" She yelped feeling her feet leave the ground. I chuckled carrying the beautiful brunette to my car, feeling her lightly hitting my chest. "What are you doing?" She whispered feeling the whole school's eyes on the both of us, yes we've been together for about a year and a half, we've taken everything rather slow, we've told our families and close friends about us so far but we hadn't come out to the school, we discussed that last year except now I find myself wanting a bit more.
It's been hard tor keep my distance from Leigh-Anne, she was in the popular crew, guys and girls literally threw themselves at her feet, and for me it's not cool watching them check her out or ask her on a date, even if she says no all the time I feel guilty.
"Jade, listen to me." Leigh-Anne stopped me from walking to the driver's side. "Yeah Leighly?" I asked. She studied me, then smiled lightly. "Why are you afraid?" She stroked my dyed ombré hair away from my face. "What am I afraid of Leigh?" I was a bit confused.
"Of us, why do we have to keep us a secret?" Leigh-Anne's beautiful orbs gazed at my face.
Why was I scared? Here's the thing-I wasn't afraid of us, I was worried for Leigh-Anne and her reputation. "I'm not scared Leigh, I'm just concerned for you, I don't want anything to happen to you." I played with her soft hands. Leigh was in a floral print dress with white toms, her hair was down in beautiful waves, just even trying to imagine the girl that I loved-yes I did love her-to be hurt or beaten would break me.
"Hey." Leigh-Anne lifted my hand to her lips, kissing it softly. "I'll be fine, I have you."

Leigh-Anne's POV

The whole school had eyed Jade and I when she picked me up in her arms, carrying me to her jeep, before she left for the drivers side I stopped her, I know I was popular and Jade was technically one of the school jocks-never stuck too long to someone in a relationship, like her friend Jesy, yet I think that's changed-we've been together for a year and a half, that's a lot right? I haven't dated anyone over a year-she hasn't either, so that must mean something. I asked her why she was scared of coming out. She looked at me with those perfect chocolate brown eyes I melted into so easily.
"I'm not scared Leigh, just concerned for you, I don't want anything to happen to you." She admitted, playing with my hands. My stomach had butterflies when she said that. "Hey." I kissed her hand. "I'll be fine I have you." I smiled, then Jade's lips began to turn up. "Can we please, Jade I knew you said you'd wait for me, I'm ready now." I said, feeling her arms wrap around my waist as she lifted me out've her jeep and twirled me around, laughing.
"Of course we can." She whispered into my hair and set me down.
"Hey Leigh-Anne!" A voice jerked me away from the tan skinned beauty in front of me, her smile now slowly fading, being replaced by a blank smile, I turned seeing Blake Stevens come up to me with a smirk on his face, oh no; Jade tensed besides me. "It's okay babe." I whispered giving her hand a squeeze seeing Blake looking me up and down, I rolled my eyes in disgust-he wasn't even close to cute or hot or whatever, just plain disrespectful and rude-an ass.

"You fancy going to the beach now?" He showed me his bright teeth-nearly blinding me from the glint.

"No thanks." I shook my head, Jade now had a small smirk on her face seeing his expression become confused. "What?" He asked. "I said no, I don't want to get laid." I said while turning, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into him, I tried to get away but he kept his hold on me. "Why not?" He asked slightly annoyed. "It's non of your business now get off me!" I pushed him back. "Chill babe, I'm just asking you a question." He grinned, I looked to Jade, seeing her clenching her fists tightly.
