Chapter 9 : Exams and A Deadly Forest

Chapter 9: Exams and A Deadly Forest

Tsuki's POV
The class is silent all except for the clock ticking and pencils writing on the paper. I look down at the paper in front of me and I can't help but frown. I mean this test is already hard on me, but that's with all the studying I've done in the past. I can't imagine what it's like for other people, especially Naruto. He just lacks in the smart department.

I glance at the first question and find that it's a decipher question. I quickly answer it. I fly through the test as if it was nothing. I set my pencil down and look at the clock.

I have 28 minutes left.

I glance around the room carefully and I find people cheating. I slightly smirk. I see Sasuke with his Sharingan. The two Hyùga's with their Byuakugan. Gaara with a sand eye. Shino with his bugs. Kiba using Akumaru. I see Sakura racing through the test, I guess she knows her stuff as well. Then I see Naruto. He's violently shaking with nervousness. I could see sweat trickle down his temple.

I glance to my side and see the grass nin watching me.

Creep.

I look away creeped out by his actions and look for a certain red head. I don't know why, but I feel my heart flutter when I'm around him. Along with my stomach, it fills with butterflies when our eyes always meet.

What's so different about him that I don't feel with the other boys?

Once again teal clashes with fuchsia. I smile at him making my face heat up and turn a shade of red. At first his eyes slightly widen then he goes back to his stoic state. Maybe I know why I feel like this. I like him. I mean I do find him attractive, his whole 'in going to kill you' aura doesn't really effect me, it just makes him more hotter. He's dark beauty. He's dangerous and has a dark presence, but he's an image of beauty. If that makes sense.

Yup, I like someone who could easily kill me. Oh the joy.

I smile as I shake my head. I look back at the time and we have at least ten more minutes. I ignore the calls of numbers as the chunins disqualify the genin.

To tell the truth I'm kind of scared for the next part of the exams. I'm already alone in this, but facing against a number of teams, they have an advantage on me. I have no back up, they'll win in the strength department, but I'll also have an advantage. I'll be hard to find and sense since I'm alone.

I tap my pencil against the desk in impatience. I just want to get this exam done with, but unfortunately that won't happen.

Time stops as Ibiki shouts indicating that it's time for the last question. He speaks, but I don't listen. I watch as a handful of genin's raise their hands and walk out of the class.

So they're giving up? Idiots. If they can't risk themselves for whatever Ibiki said than they don't deserve to be chunins.

I see a flash of orange to my right and my eyes widen when I see Naruto's hand in the air. What?! I thought he wanted to become Hokage so why is he giving up. He's Not like that. He would usually take the challenge head on even If he doesn't have a chance. He never gives up. My hands clench as I narrow my eyes at him.

What is he doing?

He slams his hand on the table, surprising me by a landslide. He says his speech about not giving up and about how long it takes he'll still become Hokage. His speech gives me and the remaining genins determination to finish this test.
