Chapter 22: Trust Me
Third POV
It was early in the morning, to be more precise, it was actually the break of dawn. The light rain was patterning softly against the windows. The morning was with it's usual mess of grey clouds and rain.
In a base filled with S-rank criminals, there was a room. A room where a girl with soft, silky, strawberry hair lied asleep intertwined in the dark blankets of her bed. She lied sprawled on the furniture as her hair cascades across the pillows making it seem like a painting. So lost in her dreams, more like nightmares, about her childhood that she didn't notice the candy masked man sneaking inside her room.
Tippytoeing in the room like the floor's made glass, he takes cautious steps as makes of his way closer to her bed. In his hands is a bucket filled with the coldest water he could manage from the base.
Half way in, he steps on the floor as it lets out a whining cry of protest. He stops like the predator being caught by the prey, as the girl with strawberry hair shifts in her sleep. She moves to her side, letting locks of pink hair cover her face like a curtain. When he notices that she doesn't wake up, he let's out a sigh of relief. So moving quietly, he raises the bucket up as he inches closer to the sleeping teen.
The girl herself was oblivious about her surroundings as she ventures through her dreamland that she didn't notice the intruder.
SPLASH!!!
"AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!" she screams waking up with a jolt as it echoes like an alarm waking all the criminals in the base.
"Once I find your stupid ass, I'm going to kill you!!!" she screams with killing intent.
Tsuki POV
I stood in my room, seething with rage that Tobi woke me up super early. So now I'm soaking wet, with my clothes sticking to me as a second skin making me feel disgusted, insecure, and naked.
Since I took a shower yesterday at night, I just got a towel to dry my hair and changed into dry clothes. After changing I storm out of my room and search for the childish man who dared to wake me up. Stomping and ignoring all the half asleep members of the Akatsuki, I look under the kitchen table since that's his favorite hiding spot. Lifting the table cloth, I find him rocking back and forward like a child in trouble. As I see him, I instantly grab the neck of his cloak and throw him to the wall, causing a big commotion.
"Ahhhh! Tobi is sorry that he woke Tsuki-chan up! Please don't hurt Tobi!" he shouts in fear as he apologizes.
I don't see his ways of forgiveness so I ignore the guilty look he gives me.
"Well, I don't care what Tobi feels," I say as a dark aura surrounds me "because you're in a world of hurt" I finish with a bittersweet smile.
"N-No! Tobi is sorry!!!"
"Tobi is dead" I mutter before I go to hit him.
Raising my hand to the fallen man that sits below me, I go for the hit, but I'm hit before I could do any damage.
"Almighty Push" says the deep voice of Leader-sama.
I go flying to the other end of the kitchen which only causes more commotion. I groan as I get thrown to the cupboard which makes several pots and pans rain down on me. I lay on the floor as I'm layered with dishes of all sorts, already giving up on my revenge on Tobi.
