Luke woke up the next morning, entwined in Michael's limbs, outside, still on the blanket. The sun was rising, and the sky was a beautiful shade of orange.

Luke didn't know what to do. He was planning on going home last night, and sneaking back through his window. His parents would surely realise he was gone by now, they weren't stupid. He was going to be in so much trouble.

"G'morning," Michael whispered, which startled Luke. He hadn't realised that the purple haired boy was awake, let alone watching.

"Hey, Michael, I'm really sorry, but I really have to go." Luke said, untangling his arms from around Michael. "I wasn't supposed to stay the night, and my parents are going to be upset. I'm sorry." Luke stood up, and started walking away.

"Luke!" Michael called. "No, please don't go." Luke turned around to see Michael, his eyes brimming with tears, his voice cracking.

"Michael, I'm sorry." Luke said, turning away again. He couldn't rationalize staying here for any longer, like he had the previous night.

"Just...tell your parents that you woke up early and came back to hang out." Michael said, his voice full of emotion. Luke could tell that Michael would be upset if he left, but he knew that his parents would be even more so if he stayed out any longer.

"Mikey, no. I can't stay." Luke sighed. "I wish I could, but last night, my parents didn't even want me to come, so I snuck out. That's why I arrived so early last night. They didn't know I was planning on leaving, let alone staying the night! I have to go home, otherwise I'll be grounded until I die." Luke saw Michael's face fall even more.

"You...you snuck out for me?" Michael asked.

Luke nodded. "I wanted to see the stars with you, Mikey." He stood up, and started walking to his car without another word. Luke couldn't stand to see Michael sad, and he already didn't want to leave.

"Luke," Michael called, chasing after him.

"Michael, no, I can't stay." Luke said, sighing. "I really need to get back home, please."

Without another word from the purple haired boy, his arms were wrapped tightly around Luke, his head resting on Luke's shoulder. Luke cold feel a wet spot forming on his shoulder from Michael's tears falling from his face.

"I love you." Michael whispered softly, his breath hitting Luke's neck.

Without any hesitation, Luke responded.

"I love you, too."
