Luke continued walking to his car, waving to Michael as he left. He didn't really want to leave either, though he knew his punishment was going to be brutal due to the nature of the situation.

Luke drove the entire way home in silence, not even bothering to turn on the radio. He didn't band's words to be trying to fill in what he was feeling, he wanted to do that himself. Luke still couldn't believe that he had snuck out in the first place, and then slept over, and then told Michael that he loved him. He couldn't believe that Michael had said it first, and he couldn't believe that Michael felt the same.

He pulled into his driveway a while later, not bothering to sneak back in like he had planned. He had been gone for the entire night, his parents would have noticed. He parked in his spot in the driveway, and walked the few steps to the door. He wasn't looking forward to facing his problem, he wanted to run away, and never look back.

Luke opened the front door, and immediately heard a scream.

"Luke! You're home, where were you?" His mother asked, coming to the door. His father was right behind, with a mean scowl covering his face.

"I need the full story, young man, and soon." His father said, the scowl somehow looking meaner. Luke made his way to the living room, and sat down on the sofa. He really didn't want to tell them what had happened, but he had to.

"So, last night I was mad that you wouldn't let me to Michael's house, so I snuck out my window, and went anyways. Michael taught me all about stars last night, and constellations, too. But then because we were outside, laying on the grass, I kind of... fell asleep. Michael woke me up this morning, and I left. I'm sorry." Luke explained. "Nothing else happened, though, I promise. No drinking, no drugs, nothing."

"Luke, what made you think it was okay to sneak out?" his mother asked. "Your father and I had reconsidered, and were coming to let you know that you could go when we realised that you were gone."

"You're not going out for anything except for school for two weeks." Luke's father announced. "And no after school clubs, either."

"But dad!" Luke yelled.

"Be happy that you still have your phone, son. Now, go and work on that essay of yours that you were supposed to be working on last night." His father said. "Go on."
