The giver and the taker

Kanon's unfinished business

I had faced Kanon and although I still feel that lingering sadness I tried not to let it show.

I fell asleep as soon as my head hit my pillow and when I awoke I was gasping for air and my hands where on my throat trying to release the pressure there.

I calmed down and washed my pale face in the bathroom and tried to think of reason's why I shouldn't dread the head of the family.

I didn't hear the door open and I heard Shiro asked,"Bad dream?"

I nodded and smiled for her sake and went back to bed though I didn't sleep at all.

I went to school the next day and I was bandaging a students arm when something cold was pressed against my cheek.

I let a scream pass my lips and a warm chuckle sounded and said,"You look like you could use a drink."

I turned around and a fellow teacher Harry matz smiled and offered me peach juice and I took it from him grateful that I didn't have to wait in the cafeteria just for my daily juice.

"You do know that juice like this contains alot of calories you know." Harry remarked and I asked,"Why did you buy me juice if it's so bad for me then?"

He smiled and said,"I have noticed that you always go buy juice every morning in the cafeteria."

"How observant." I was surprised Harry noticed but, I shrugged and then took a long sip and then Shiro burst in and Harry glares at her and says,"Do not run in the hallways. You could hurt yourself that way."

Shiro ignored him and turned to me with wide eyes and exclaimed,"Some guy is at the gates looking for you! He is really handsome Hana I couldn't believe that you know a guy like that."

 I was curious and as she said Kanon entered the room and I glared at him and demanded,"What is it?"

He looked a little shy and pushed a bouquet of red roses into my arms and said," I picked these flowers for you before I came. I wanted to speak to you."

Harry took the bouquet of flowers out of my arms and pushed them into Kanon's arms and said,"Hana doesn't have the time to chit chat. She is at work and if it's an emergency then please contact her outside of school."

"Mr. Matz I have to speak with this gentleman could you please watch my office for me?"

Harry scowled and nodded and I led Kanon to the teachers lounge and sat down and asked,"Where is Saru?"

He grimaced and said,"I don't know. We don't talk to each other and I wanted to talk to you."

I tapped my fingers on the table and he sat down and said,"I wanted to ask you if you wanted to be my girlfriend again."

The question was in the air and I began to chuckle and then I asked,"Do I look like a fool to you?"

I rose to my feet and Kanon took my hand and said,"Please think about it. "

He left after kissing my cheek and I just stood there awestruck.

I must look like a big fool indeed. I walked out and bumped into someone and instead of falling on my rear the person caught me and I was even more surprised.
