Random Scarlet Overkill thought:

I know it's canon that Scarlet had a criminal empire by age 13, but I have difficulty finding that plausible. I'm sure kids watching Minions will be perfectly okay with it, though, and that's great. That's who the film is primarily for. And naturally many would get excited at the prospect of having a criminal empire at such a young age. So I support that. But as an adult viewer and a fan of Scarlet, I can't help but have my own opinions. :)

My belief is she would have had the intelligence to run an empire at age 13, but not the physical strength to back up her power in the same way an adult could. Given the franchise's emphasis on physical prowess and combat, I'm thinking those elements would be required in order to lead an empire. And while Scarlet was probably strong and had fighting skills, I'm not convinced she had her full abilities yet at age 13. Color me concerned about her still-developing body.

Therefore, my headcanon is that she had built a miniature criminal empire in whatever orphanage she was in and/or headed a street gang of homeless kids. Later, once she turned 18, she started building her adult villain career and empire. That I can believe. Therefore, my Scarlet Overkill fic will reflect my headcanon in this regard.

Have you ever wondered what Scarlet is saying when the dog is on her face? I do.

I think she's saying, "Get...this...off my face." But it's also kind of open to interpretation.

First of all, the dog leaping onto her face clearly ticked her off. Hence, I like to think there could be various versions of what she said, depending on who the audience is. Leaving her dialogue indistinct allows each viewer to imagine what she said according to one's interest. For example:

G-rated version: "Get...this...off my face."

PG-rated version: "Get...this...stupid mutt off my face!"

PG-13 rated version: "What the hell? Get...this...filthy mongrel off my face!"

R-rated version: "Get...this...fucking dog off my face!"

NC-17 rated version: "Get...this...goddamned piece of motherfucking shit off my face!"

I'm tickled by the thought that Scarlet is so angry about the dog being on her face that she's swearing. #sorrynotsorry

There's also the possibility the dog was licking her face the whole time she was yelling. The fact that the Corgi tries to get in one more lick after she peels him off her face is very telling.

Something tells me Scarlet Overkill is not a dog person. :D
