(Lydia's outfit)
I woke up in the comfort of my own bed, squinting my eyes in the direction of the ceiling. I reached over to check the time on my phone, when my alarm went blasting through my ears. "What?" I asked in disbelief, shutting off the alarm on my phone.
Was it already Monday? My thoughts were confirmed as I checked the date. I let out a groan as I fell back onto my bed, running my hands through my hair. The weekend had gone by so fast, I felt like it was only Friday.
I wasn't ready to go back to school. I hadn't even done any of my assignments, making my anxiety levels rise slightly. A groan escaped my lips as I pushed myself off my mattress, climbing down the narrow later that was attached to the top bunk.
Before I could open the door to my closet, I heard a knock at my bedroom door, and then it opened, revealing Kalynn. She was fully dressed as she walked into my room, sighing when her eyes landed on mine. "Finally, your up." She said as I pulled off the shirt I had slept in.
I rolled my eyes as I searched through the clothes in my closet, looking for something to wear. "Yeah, and I'm not happy about it." I grumbled. My eyes landed on a plain white Hollister shirt, and I pulled it over my head. I could hear Kalynn groan from her place by the door.
"Mom said hurry up." She said, her voice strained and eyes narrowed. I shook my head at her after she closed the door, adding an eye roll as well. After my shirt had completely covered my body, I stripped out of my pants and walked towards my drawers.
I located what I was looking for, and pulled out my favorite joggers. I yanked them up my legs quickly, noticing it was already seven. I made sure to put on my socks and shoes before rushing to the bathroom.
I brushed my hair and teeth quickly as seven ten rolled around. After doing a double take, taking in all my features, I bolted down the stairs, grabbing my bag off the arm of the couch. My mom and Kaylnn were lounging around in the dinning area. My mom drinking a cup of coffee while Kaylnn was finishing off a bowl of cereal, scrolling through something on her her phone.
"Come on! We're gonna be late." I yelled as I made my way towards the door. Once I saw mom and Kaylnn walking my way, I opened the door and headed towards the car.
Once my mom and sister found their seats, I plugged my earbuds into my phone, and let my music take over me. We pulled out of the drive way, and I leaned my head against the window. I could feel my eyelids getting heavy with time passing by.
I closed my eyes completely but as soon as I closed them, I reopened them, only to see my moms car parked at the front of the school's entrance. A quiet groan escaped my lips as I lifted my bag from the car floor, slinging it over my shoulder. My mom mumbled a quick, 'I love you,' as I was getting out of the car.
I gave her a wave as I walked into the school building, being taken in by a crowd of students wondering the halls aimlessly. I walked to the gym, which was where everyone was supposed to wait until the first bell rang.
As I walked through the large double doors, I spotted my best friend Ian. His light blonde hair made him stand out in the crowd. His head lifted up, and he waved as he spotted me. As I walked closer, I noticed my other friend Bryan with him, and two other girls.
One of the girls was very pale, and had a thin cloth wrapped around her head. Her hair was short, and her dark brown eyes seemed to make her skin even lighter.
