Chapter Fourteen: Alone Time

Arabella's P.O.V

I had finished unpacking my things while Nik was downstairs on his phone discussing with Stephen where he could possibly find more werewolves at. I slowly walk downstairs and lean against the doorway looking into the living room watching Nik pace back and forth while listening to Stephen talk. He hadn't noticed me yet because he was so caught up in the phone call.

I slowly walks up behind him and hug him from behind kissing the back of his neck. "Sit down Nik before you walk right threw the floor." I say jokingly while he rolls his eyes and sits down like I told him too. I walk around the couch and stand behind him before I start rubbing his shoulders. I giggle when he lets out a groan, as the tension in his shoulders eases up, and listen as Stephen asks what the heck we were doing. I take the phone from him and hold it between my shoulder and ear. "Nothing's going on Steph, I'm just rubbing the tension out of his shoulders." I say hearing Stephan sigh on the other end of the line. "Thank goodness."  He mumbles causing me to shake my head and sigh. "Just find a pack for him Steph, for now he needs to relax and get his mind off of them." I say then hang up the phone not wanting to talk to him anymore.

I put down the phone and walk around the couch sitting next to him and wrapping my arms around his neck. "You need to take a break Nik, this whole werewolves thing is stressing you out." I say kissing his cheek and rubbing his shoulder. He sighs at my words and nods putting his face in his hands. "I know my love but I really want to make my hybrids, yet it seems as if all of the werewolves in the world have disappeared." He says frustratedly causing me to sigh trying to think of ways I could distract him and get him to loosen up.

I smile getting an idea and move his hands from his face kissing his lips deeply and lovingly. I quickly pull back and giggle poking his nose. "Tag your it." I say and take off running at vampire speed outside quickly hiding in the woods. I heard Nik following after me and could hear him looking around. "Come out Bell." He calls causing me to smile at the nickname he had given me. I stayed quiet and waited till I heard him getting closer to my hiding spot before taking off again.

I squeal and giggle as Nik catches me tackling me to the ground. I look up at him smiling while he stares down at me with a hidden smile. I reach up brushing my fingers across his cheek causing his smile to show. "I love your smile." I say softly causing his smile to widen as he leans his forehead against mine. "And I love you." He says causing my heart to flutter while my cheeks turned red as I blushed.

This was the first time Nik had ever told me that he loved me and it made my heart swell knowing that he did. "I love you too." I say softly cupping his cheek and stroking his cheekbone with a bright smile. He leans down and kisses me deeply and lovingly while hugging my body to his own. I wrap my arms around his neck and hold onto him.

I let him pull back from the kiss and smile up at him. "I want you to mark me." I say softly knowing I was ready to take the first step of the mating process. Nik looked down at me with a shocked look and bit his lip. "Are you sure your ready, you know that your heat will start and it'll be hard for me to resist not finishing the mating process." He says stroking my cheek causing me to lean into his touch. "I know, but I think when it's time for that then I'll be ready." I say while he sighs and leans his forehead against mine staring down into my eyes. "Are you sure?" He asks wanting to make sure that I was absolutely ready and not regret it in the future. "Yes I'm sure." I say as he leans down and starts kissing up and down my neck.

I let out a soft moan as he finds my sweet spot and shiver as his inner beast let's out a growl of approval. I tilt my head back giving him more room to reach my neck and shiver as he scraps his fangs against my neck. "This will hurt at first for a few seconds, but after that you should feel nothing but pleasure." He murmurs in my ear before trailing kisses down my neck to where my neck and shoulder meet. He scraps his fangs over that spot before sinking them in and marking me as his forever.

I gasped in pain as his fangs penetrated my neck and squeezed my eyes shut. After a few seconds I let out a moan of pleasure and reached up tangling my fingers in his hair. I could hear his inner beast purring happily while mine howled in joy at being connected to our mate. I shivered as he pulled his fangs out and licked the wound making it heal.

I leaned my head against his shoulder as he picked me up and took me back to the house. He carried me up to our room and set me down in front of the mirror pulling my hair back from my neck and showing me my mark. I gasped and ran my fingers over my mark smiling at how beautiful it was. It was mine and Nik's initials inside of a heart with a sun and moon connected together over top of the heart. "It's beautiful." I say breathlessly while Nik hugs me from behind sitting his chin on my shoulder. "Just like you." He murmurs in my ear causing me to giggle and turn around in his arms hugging him. I was happy he was my mate and that now he was mine forever.
