How it all began...

Lucas POV
Things have been great ever since I moved to New York from Austin, Texas. I have great friends here, and they all except me for who I am. Now I'm not saying I don't miss Texas, because I do, but I just love it here. I have a beautiful girlfriend Riley Matthews and three best friends, Farkle Minkus (yes that's his name), Isiah (aka Zay) Babineaux, and Maya Hart.

I walked into school this morning and was greeted by hug and kiss from Riley. Soon, Maya started to get tired with our makeout session and did a fake little cough. "She is so cute" I thought to myself. I have to admit, I have a little crush on Maya, but I know she will never feel the same. (A/N yea, sure Lucas)

Maya POV
Soon I got tired of their makeout session and did one of those fake coughs. You know the ones, the *ehe-ehe* just to get someone's attention.
"Sorry short stack didn't see you there," he said smirking.
"You really wanna play with me Hop-a-long?" I state. He starts to look scared. Mission Complete.
We walked into our class and met Farkle and Zay there. Mr. Matthew's started blabbing about some assignment that I most likely wouldn't do. But he caught my attention when he said "partners". I looked to Riley, but she was looking at someone else. Can you guess who?
It was Huckleberry.
I turned away sad, but then he said he already had chosen the partners. That means there is now way they are working together. He begins
Riley and Farkle... Zay and Missy... Sarah and Darby... Maya and Lucas. After that, I didn't hear anything else.
"No no no no no" I thought.
"NOOOOOO" We both yelled at the same time. I looked over to him and gave him the stink eye. Mr. Matthews continued.
"This project goes on for three months" he said.
Looks like I'm stuck with Huckleberry for three months. Ughhh....
