Ladybug sighed as she gazed out onto the city. It was a dark, cool night in Paris and even though most people where sleeping, Ladybug couldn't be more awake. Why you ask? Well, recently after a battle with a deadly akuma, Ladybug began to realize just how dangerous her job as a superhero actually was. It wasn't as easy as the comic books made it out to be. Ladybug just couldn't get the topic off her mind, the thought of dying and her parents being left alone. But what really made her worry was if she lost Chat. Despite the constant flirting and Ladybug's brushing if off, she really cared about him. Very much, more than she cared about her own safety. Ladybug tired eyes wandered around the quiet streets and dim, but also bright, city lights. Her eyes wandered to the moon as she went from standing on a rooftop to sitting in the edge, her legs dangling as she inhaled. "It's always more peaceful at night." A voice called from behind making Ladybug jump out of her skin. She flung her head around to see the one and only Chat Noir smirking at her. "You startled me." Ladybug admitted, pulling her gaze from him and back to the moon. "You look as beautiful as every at night, m'lady." Chat cooed flirtatiously but Ladybug was silent, her eyes still fixated on the moon. Chat tilted his head and frowned, usually Ladybug would make a sarcastic comeback or tell him it wasn't the time for flirting. "M'lady... Is everything alright? You seem... Quiet." Chat said in a worried tone, Ladybug just nodded and waved her hand dismissively. "Yeah, I'm fine, Chat." Ladybug replied in a dull-like tone, her face still looked as thigh she was troubled. Chat noir moved towards the ledge and sat down beside Ladybug. His emerald eyes studied her features carefully. Even with a mask on, Chat noticed dark circles under her eyes, her face was paler than usual and if you looked hard enough into her deep blue eyes you can see how distant she was. Chat's expression went from worry to sadness in a split second. "Ladybug... I know there's something bothering you, please talk to me." Chat urged, he had the urge to just grab her and pull her into a hug but he stopped himself, he'd probably just startle her more. Ladybug glanced away from the moon and looked at Chat, despite hearing what he said, her previous thighs stilled floated around in her head. "What are you talking about, Chat? I'm fine, everything's fine." Ladybug said as she smiled brightly masking her own worry. "Ladybug-" chat began again but Ladybug cut him off, "Everything's fine, it's okay, it's all okay-" Ladybug said but her smile had turned into a sad one and tears where welling up in her eyes "-everything's fine... Everything's...okay..." Ladybug whispered, her voice cracking at the last worried as tears streamed down her face. Chat was starring at her in shock, he never saw Ladybug cry before and the sight was stomach turning. Just the sight made him so upset even though Ladybug was the one in turmoil. Chat snapped out of his thoughts and before Ladybug and even Chat knew what he was doing, Chat flung his arms around Ladybug as he pulled her close to his chest. Ladybug was biting her lower lip as she hesitated but eventually flung her arms around him. 'Stupid. Stop crying Marinette, your embarrassing yourself. He's still here... He isn't dead.' Ladybug told herself, even the thought of Chat dying made her well up in tears. "Ladybug... I'm not going anywhere." Chat said in a low voice, trying to calm Ladybug down. Ladybug's eyes widened, she was so shocked, she couldn't believe he practically read her mind. Truthfully, Chat had thought about the topic himself and had the same worry Ladybug did. Ladybug's lip quivered, trying to hold back tears. She tried to stop herself but they just keep coming. Ladybug let out a loud dob as she squeezed Chat tighter, clinging to him in desperation. "Don't ever leave, you got it? You can't leave me, Chat." Ladybug sobbed as she burred her head in his chest. Chat was taken by surprise at first but he just smiled and hugged her back for reassurance. "Don't worry, I'll never leave you... M'lady."
