"The weather is really dreary these days." Adrien said with a low sigh. Last week while fighting a akuma, he had gotten pretty beat up and it was affecting his energy levels and strength. He silently hoped there wouldn't be another outbreak before he had time to heal. Sadly, Adrien spoke too soon. Right as he finished his thought process, a loud boom shook the ground and made himself and several other students tumble to the ground. Adrien winced in pain as he shakily stood to his feet. "I need to transform and fast!" he muttered to himself as he tried to stumble to a clear area. "AHAHAHAHAHA!" A cracking voice screeched over the sound of screaming students. "YOU PEASANTS! KNEEL BEFORE YOUR QUEEN!" The over-taken girl hissed as she pointed what looked to be a wand of some sort at a group of students. "Enough of your nonsense!" Ladybug replied in a stern voice as she descended from an unknown location. "Ladybug... Thank goodness..." Adrien whispered as he put a hand on the wall and rose to his shaky feet. "Don't worry! Leave it to me." Ladybug said as she looked at Adrien and gave him a thumbs up and a wink. Adrien felt his heart jump as he nodded. "You bug! You're unworthy to behold my beauty!" The perpetrator yelled as she formed a dark ball of magic and forced it at Ladybug who dodged it with diligence. Adrien watched her in aww before realizing that he needed to transorm. Adrien began to slowly move towards a janitor's closet when a gust of wind and a whooshing sound filled Adrien's ears. He whipped his head around to see a breathless Ladybug setting the akuma free. "Bye-bye...butterfly..." Ladybug huffed as she tried to catch her breath. "Chat never showed up..." Ladybug said with a hint of sadness in her voice as she glanced around before she looked at Adrien and smiled brightly but Adrien could tell she was upset Chat wasn't there. Adrien couldn't help but feel upset and guilty himself, He was Chat Noir and he was to weak to even transform. Adrien's eyes followed Ladybug's figure as she disappeared from the cheering students, a frown formed on his lips as he slowly peeled his eyes away, pretending to be relieved when his friend Nino came up to him. Deep down, the only thing on his mind was the fact that he had let his precious lady down.
