Chapter 2

Here is Maddy :)

Maddy's POV:

I finally get to see daddy again I thought as I sat by my mommy. Last time I saw daddy was two years ago. I was sad because mom said he went somewhere with uncle Merle and he never came back.

Soon we arrived at the camp everyone got out, but me, mom, and the new guy Rick. Glenn came over to us and said " It's ok to get out." when a huge man came over and pointed a gun at mommy. I was scared and started to cry. Glenn growled at the man and said, "put the gun down, they won't hurt anyone, Shane."

This Shane guy snarled and said, "how do you know that?" 

Glenn then chuckled and said, "Daryl is the little girl's dad. He is alsoJessica's husband." He said pointing to mommy.

Mom held me as I cried for a few more seconds. I didn't like Shane guy... mom then put me down and pushed me behind her. Mommy watched the man as he slowly pulled the gun away. " Point that at me again. You will regret it." Uncle Merle smirked at this and we walked away.

Jessica's POV: 

After Maddy and I got set up in Daryl's and Merle's tent I looked around the camp. Soon I noticed an older man near an RV. Dale, his name is Dale. I walked over to him and smiled.  "umm... Dale, do you know where Daryl is?"

 He chuckled and said, "he went hunting and will be back tomorrow. Don't worry about him he'll be fine." I nodded.

* Later in the day*

Everyone was sitting next to the campfire, enjoying the company of each other,  when the guy Morals, started talking to Dale about his watch.

 I didn't pay attention until it was just me and Maddy at the campfire. Maddy soon fell asleep on me. I picked her up and headed over to the tent, put her in the sleeping bag. I laid beside her thinking about how Daryl will react when he see's us. I smiled and went to sleep.

*The next morning*

I woke up the next morning and walked out of the tent. I went over to Dale. Maddy, Sophia, and Carl went off to play tag nearby. But the conversation was soon cut to an end when I heard Sophia and Maddy scream. I ran over toward them.

 "Mommy, over here, there is a monster!!"

 I ran over to where the kids were and soon everyone else followed. I checked then all for cuts, bites, or anything else. I turned and saw a walker chowing down on a deer.

I then heard something walking around in the woods. Carl and Sophia ran back to their moms and I pushed Madison behind me. I gripped a knife I had stored away in my packet and backed away from the woods. Then he stepped out...Daryl. My husband.

I gasped and everyone was watching me and Madison. Tears collected on the corner of my eyes. I couldn't say anything, I was too in shock. Daryl and Dale then got in an argument about the deer and he stormed off toward camp.

Merle smiled at Daryl when he walked over. They were talking when he glanced over Daryl's shoulder and looked at me. " You gonna talk to him?" He mouthed to me.

I finally picked up the courage and said: " Hey snuggle bear!" Daryl froze. Only me and Madison call him that. He turned away, ready to yell at whoever called him that nickname, but froze when he saw me. He rage in his eyes melted away he started to tremble.

Everyone was watching us, but I didn't care. Madison tore from my hold and took off toward her daddy, with me right behind her. " Daddy! Daddy!" She cried, running over to him.

When Madison reached him he took her in his arms and hugged her tightly. He cried like a baby, finally being able to hold her baby girl again. I couldn't hold the tears back any longer when I saw this. I reached them and hugged them both.

Daryl pulled me close and cried in my neck. I started to cry too. " Is it really you?" He asked.

I nodded and he pulled away, still holding Madison in his arms. He kissed her on the forehead and let her down. He then looked at me and smiled. He put his hands on both sides of my face and kissed me.

I kissed him back, for the first time in two years. When we pulled away Daryl just stared at me. His blue eyes bore into mine like he was trying to memorize them. " I c-can't believe you and Maddy are here. I have my girls back." He said kissing my forehead.

I smiled and nodded. " And we aren't going anywhere." 

Madison then tugged on Daryl's hand, trying to get his attention. Daryl looked away from me, " Yes, baby girl?" He asked.

" Daddy, where did you go two years ago?" She asked.

Daryl froze, but then he smiled. " Baby, do you remember that day I left with uncle Merle?" Madison nodded.

" Well, we were going to find you a puppy to play with, since nobody wanted to play with you. Then that's when the zombies happened. Baby I was trying to come back to you and mommy, but when I got home you both were gone and I thought the worst had happened." Daryl said picking her up.

" But you both are here now and I'm not letting either of you leave me again, okay?" He said smiling at her.

Madison nodded and kissed his cheek. " I love you, daddy." She said.

Daryl chocked up and kissed her forehead, " I love you too, baby girl. So much."

Daryl took ahold of my hand and we headed toward our tent we four share, but I felt like someone was watching me. I turned and saw Ed. His eyes held lust. Oh no... I hurried after my family, making sure not to look back at the nasty man.
