I walk to Algebra, with my finished homework at hand. I go to turn hand it to Mr. Richardson.

"Keep it Brielle. One of your classmates will correct it for you."

"Oh." Great I'm going to get made fun of for being the nerd.

BEEEEEEP

"Okay class, give your homework to someone you don't know."

Everyone just trades with there table partner, but I don't have one. The kid behind me trades with me though.

"Here's all the answers. They are either 100% right, or 100% wrong. No half credit. Each one is worth 5 points. That means count how many wrong and multiply it by 5. That's how much percent gets taken off. Then write on the topic their paper the percent they received,"

After approximately 5 minutes, he shouts.

"Get your paper back. I'm going to call out your name and when I say yours, tell me your grade."

I'm last since my last name is Zyla.

As he shouts the names I hear grade from 55%-85%

"Brielle!"

"100% sir"

Of course people thought

"Wow such a nerd, smarty pants" you get the point.

I hid my face in my arms.

Class went by super slow.

BEEEEEEP

Finally, I got to go to art. We are taken a break from sculpting and watch a video about Vincent van Gogh. It was really interesting actually.

BEEEEP

Time for detention with Charlotte and Chase.

I walk I to my science room and see Chase but no Charlotte still. *Sigh*

On the board it says

"No talking! You're in here for all of lunch!"

Great! I didn't even get to sit with Chase. I miss Charlotte! Where could she be? Her mother said she would be here by lunch. I hope she's not skipping.

So many thoughts like that went through my mind and all of a sudden

BEEEP

Thank GOD! I hear Chase think.

I go to my locker to get my materials for History. It's right by my Language Arts room, so I grab my stuff for Language Arts as well. I can just carry it with me to Gym as well. Hopefully I don't hurt Chae today.

When I walk into the room, there is STILL no Charlotte. I hope she is alright. She never misses this much of a school day.  I was totaly distracted during our History. I'm not even sure what we were disscussing. So when my teacher asks me to answer a question my response was

"ummmm... 1967?"

Totally the wrong answer, so the class begins to laugh at me.

"Sorry the answer was 1983"

"Hey, I bet none of you would have got that correct, so stop laughing at Brielle!" Shouts Chase from the back of the room

"Way to protect your girl friend Chase!" Shouts Stella, the popular girl.

"Shut up Stella!" Chase screams as his face turns red and runs out of the room.

"Aren't you gonna go Chase off after your boy friend freak?"

The class begins to laugh even louder.

"Quiet down class unless you want homework!"

The classes laughs quiet down. I bury my head back into my arms, tears start to roll down my cheeks.

BEEEEEEP

I run out of the classroom and to my guidance councilor. She doesn't make me talk, shes the guidance councierl I've always have had. She just lets me lay down and cry if I want. I cry through the whole gym class.

"Brielle, it's time to go home. Everything will be okay. Go spend time with your father."

"Thanks Maria."

As I walk out there door of the school, I remember my dad thinking

Should I tell her about Maria?

Hes dating my guidance counciler?!?!

*****Again I appologize for the short chapter. A lot of things to think about this day and I didn't want to overwhelm you by outting it into one huge chapter***
