BEEEP
I open my eyes, Picture Day. Crap got a lot of work to do. Its 6. I have a whole hour. Better get going. Father is not done with work yet, I go down stairs and eat a Starwberry poptart. Then I walk back up stairs. I go and plug in the curling iron. I need to curl my hair for the outfit I'm going to wear. I know exactly what I'm going to wear. I pull out my grey dress with a light brown belt. Also, the brown sandals I have. Then go and grab my grey flower flower hair clips. It will be perfect. It looked amazing.
RING RING
"Hello?"
"Hey Pumpkin. Did you see the package I left on your night stand?"
"No I didn't but I see it now."
"Can you open it right now?"
"Sure. Just one sec."
I rip open the small package wondering what it could be.
When I rip off the paper, and open the box there is a note and necklace inside.
It reads:
To my one and only Daughter,
Hello Brielle. I wanted to give you this in person, but I feared that I would never be able to. I bought this when you were 5 but did not want to give this to you until you were a Freshman in High School for picture day. Which I hope is today or otherwise your Father didn't listen very well. This is just a reminder that I will always love you, weither I'm dead or alive. I love you with all my heart Brielle.
Love, Mother
I look into the tiny box with tears in my eyes. I see a chain with a heart lock and key. Its so beautiful!
"Are you still there?"
"Yeah. I'm here."
"Do you like it?"
"I love it. But I got to get ready now. See you after school."
"Bye, Love you Pumpkin."
I slip on my new necklaces it matches my outfit perfectly.
Going into the bathroom I put on Foundation, eye liner, eye shadow, and mascar. Then I begin to curl my hair, loose curls, they look better that way. Once I finish that, I put in my flower hair clips. Just so that my bangs are out of my face. My final step is to brush my teeth so they are as white as can be. Which turn out to be perfectly white, and a minty breath.
I walk down the stair as carefully as possible and then Charlotte walks through the front door.
"Wow you look AMAZING Brielle!"
"Thanks so do you!"
Charlotte is wearing a Red and White Stripped dress with a light blue belt, multiple bracelets and 2 inch black heels.
"Lets get going so we can show them who really are the fashion people at our school!"
"Sounds fun. Let's go Char!"
We walk to the car and sit down carefully. Picture day is one of the few days I dress up like this so I like to make the most of it.
"Morning Ellie!"
"Morning! Someone's in a good mood today."
"Yes, very happy, and no one is going to ruin it, not even Stella."
"Good for you Brielle."
The rest of the ride is silent except for the sound of the blasting radio. The City Can't Hold Us by Mackelmore comes on the radio. We try to sing louder then the radio, but it doesn't work very well. by the end of the song, we reach school.
