Not So Normal

Chapter 12

Parker opens the door with a huge smile on his face. He just stares at me at first. He was speechless. I read me think

'Wow could she BE any more beautiful? She likes WONDERFUL in my favorite color. Whats should I say?'

To break the silence, I say

"Are you impressed?" Then I spin around and giggle.

"Very impressed. Beautiful as usual."

"Oh, how rude of me, Father this is Parker, Parker this is Father."

"Hello sir. It's nice to met you."

"You too Parker." They shake hands.

Father thinks

'He seems nice, I hope he's this nice to you.'

I nod my head in approval.

"Well, come on in. Dinner is almost ready."

While walking in a pit bull puppy runs up to me and licks my legs.

"Sorry about Dave. He likes to meet new people."

"Hi puppy." I say in a baby voice as I rub it's head and then his belly as he rolls over.

"His name is Jake."

"Aw that's so cute." I say as I still rub his belly.

"Hello there Brielle. I'm Abigail, Parker's mother."

"Nice to meet you. I'm Brielle and this is my Father." I say and we both shake her hand.

"I'm sorry Andy is still making dinner, but he should be done any minute. Do you want to go sit at the table?"

"Sure, that sounds wonderful Abigail." I say as we walk to the kitchen.

As we walk through the house I look around. It's a huge house, very modern inside, almost, fancy I guess that's what you could call it. Simple colors though. Multiple pictures of him and his family. Also, of his Mother and Father. I smiled when I saw them.

"Here's the Kitchen. This is Andy. Andy this is Parkers girlfriend Brielle, and her Father."

"Nice to meet you guys. I would shake your hand but they are dirty from cooking. If you want, you guys could go sit in the dinning room, and I will bring the food out. I hope your're hungey."

"Nice to meet you Andy. And that sounds like a good plan. Also' I am VERY hungry."

He laughed and then Abigail leaded us to the dinning room. There was a single light, a chandeler handing over the table. I was shinning a light pink, which made the room look beautiful and not to bright. There's also a long table, with candles lighted on it, with 6 seats.

"Brielle would you like to sit by me?" Asks Parker.

"Sure."

"Sir would you like to sit by my Mom?"

"There's not really anywhere else to sit, so why not."

We all laugh. Parker pulls out my chair so I sit down. When we all sit down, Andy comes in the dinning room with all the food in both his hands.

"Do you need help Andy?" I ask.

"Nope. I learned how to carry lots of food as soon as I became a Sue Chef at the resturarant I partly own."

"That's cool. So whats for dinner?"

"Pork chops, green beans, rolls, and surprise dessert."

"Sounds Delicious. Thanks."

"Anything for Parkers' girlfriend."

By the end of the conversation our plate of food was placed in front of everyone.

"Eat up everyone."

There is silence at first but then my asks

"So Andy is a Sue Chef, but what do you do Abigail?"

"I own the Wedding Dress shop "Your'e Special Dress".

"Wonderful. I am a fireman."

"That's cool Sir. I use to want to be one, but I think I'm going to be a Doctor."

"Wow, I didn't know that about you Parker. I want to be a Lawyer."

"Well you learn something new everyday."

There is silence for the rest of the meal. I eat slow, even though I'm super hungry. I finish last, and my Father finished first, of course.

When everyone is finished Andy blurts out,

"I hope everyone loves Apple Pie. I'm going to grab everyone a piece quick."

"Delicious! Can't wait to have a piece!"

"So, Brielle what do you like to do in your free time?"

"Well, I like to spend time with Charlotte, my best friend, but schools very impotant to me, so school always comes first."

"That's my girl. Are you smart?"

"Well, mostly A's and usually 2 B's"

"Amazing. Maybe you could help Parker get better grades than C's."

"I would love to."

"Here comes to pie!"

"Who all wants a piece?"

"ME!" Says everyone.

"Okay, okay calm down. Ladies first."

Andy then hand Abigail and I a piece of pie, with a scoop of whipped cream.

"Thanks Andy!" I say th start eatting it.

Everyone devours their piece of pie.

"Ugh I'm so full! How about you Brielle?" Asks Parker

"I had plenty if food. Thanks."

My Father loos at his watch.

"We'll, time flies when your having fun but it's almost 9 o'clock so I think we best be going. I work the night shift tomorrow for my friend."

"Okay. But can we get a picture before you leave?"

"Sure."

"Parker and Brielle, can you go stand over there?" Asks Abigail pointing towards the stair case."

"Sure mom."

We walk over there and stand next to eachother holding hands.

"Smile!"

I was the happiest person in the world right there.

"Good bye everyone! Nice to meet you." Father says and shakes their hands.

"Bye Brielle."

"Bye Parker."

He gives me a quick kiss on the cheek and we go out to the car.

"That was fun! Thanks Father."

"No problem Pumpkin. His family is very nice."

"Yes they are."

When I get home, I undress and slip on pajamas. My phone vibrates,

"Good night my beautiful girl. I love you!"

I text back.

"Love you too Parker."

I then close my eyes, and to sleep.
