Not So Normal

Chapter 2

I wake up to the sound of my extremely annoying alarm clock.

"Of course!" I moaned as i look at the time.

its 6:15 and I need to leave at 7 to get to school on time. I'm glad that I took a shower last night.

I turn on the T.V. in my room that my Father gave me as a gift for graduatiing from Middle School. The weather man said its suppose to get to 72 degrees with a small chance of thudsrstorms later, here in the town of Roseville, Minnesotea. My cell phone rings and I see that Charlotte is calling me.

"Hey Char!"

"Morning Bri! You ready for today?"

"Kinda. What you going to wear?"

"Probely a Jean skirt and a cute shirt. How bout you?"

"I would really like to wear the yellow dress I have. But do you think it will clash with my brown hair?" she questions.

"Char it will look super cute." Its totaly normal for Charlotte to wear girly things. I usuly only dress up a little bit when I'm in the right mood.

"Alright thanks for the insite Bri. I'm going to go now. Just woke up and got to get ready. I will come and pick you up at 7."

"See you then Char." I say as she hangs up.

Charlottes' parents bring me to school and home from school since my Fathers shift is from 7am-5pm.

I open my closet. I pull out my favorite Jean skirt. It goes to just before my knees, not too long not too short. I rumage through my shirts and pick out a light green laced shirt with a white bra and tang top. I quickly slip into that outift. Deciding that a light grey tang top would look better. Once I'm done changing I walk to the bathroom. I pass my dad as we walks to the stair case. He was definitely going to the kitchen for some food. He didnt say anything since he's not a morning person until after breakfast. But I read his mind and he said,

"Good morning Bri. You look cute as always!"

I smile at him and step into the bathroom closing the door behind me. I pull out my make-up bag. Putting on foundation first. Then I put on eyeliner, mascara, and eye shadow. While I put on my make-up I plugged in the straightner so it would be hot when i was done putting on make-up. I brush through my now long hair making sure to get every knot out. Once I completed that mission, I straighten my hair. This all took 20 minutes. I look up to see my reflection into the mirror. I feel like I'm ready to face the day. I walk quickly to the kitchen. My dad had just finsished his scrambled eggs with chips and salsa.

"I made eggs for you to Bri." He tells me.

"Thanks. They smell delicious."

"Did you sleep alright?"

"Yea. Thanks for asking."

"I need to get going Pumpkin. Have a wonderful day. See you around 5. It your night dinner. Love you."

"Have a good day too. Love you too." I said as he walked out the front door.

I had 10 minutes before Char will be here. What to do?

DANCE PARTY! I turn on the radio to 95.9 KISS FM. As they played I Love IT by Icona Pop. Ii danced liked no one was watching, but I heard an abrupt knock on my door. Char was early as usual.

I go and grab my bag, noticing a small package by it. I will open it in the car. I walk out the door.

"Good morning Char and Chars mom!"

"Bri, my mom has told you a MILLION times that you can call her Ellie"

"I know..."

"Whats that?" Char shouts out.

"I'm not sure let me open it."

I already read Chars mind knowing how excited she is for school. And that she has a good hunch on what my gift is.

As i open the package I see that its a Dragon Fly neckles. Dragon Flies are super lucky.

"Its so pretty Bri!" Char announces.

As she says that we pull up at Winford HIgh School.

"You ready Bri?"

"Ready as I'll ever be!"

We step out of the car and into the buzzing school
