Chapter 13

Kevin's POV

I couldn't get Kylie's expression out of my head. She looked stunned when I told her she was beautiful. Did no one ever tell her that before? I would be happy to tell her that over and over again...

Before I knew it, it was time for the next period. Math. I was actually looking forward to class since it was my favorite, subject-wise. AP Calculus was going to be the bomb. But if Kylie wasn't in that class, then it wouldn't mean a thing to me.

I looked over at her. She didn't seem to be happy about going to the next period.

Trish poked her. "You don't need to be that upset about going to math next! I know it's not your favorite subject but still!"

"You say that 'cause you don't take that class. AP Calc is going to be the death of me." She groaned."You're so lucky you're taking AP Stats instead."

I started grinning. It looked like I would be in the same class to her. It would be funny to see her reaction when she realizes that. I'll just let her find out on her own.

Trish must've noticed my grin. "What's got you grinning like a Cheshire cat?"

I shrugged nonchalantly. "Nothing. I was just thinking about something funny."

Kylie looked at me suspiciously. "Care to share the joke?"

"You'll find out soon enough." I smiled at her.

"Somehow I don't think I would like the joke." She sighed.

"Kylie, you better walk me to class." Trish sang out. "Bye, Kevin! It was nice meeting you!"

Kylie walked out. "Yeah, umm. Bye, Kevin."

"Bye girls. I just might be seeing one of you next period." I winked. I could hear Kylie's groan from out the hallway. Super sensitive hearing was all part of being a werewolf...

I was looking forward to next period already. I was pretty sure she knew I was going to be in Calc with  her but her reactions were always so amusing. She was amazing in every way. "There's nothing as amazing as she is.." My wolf chimed in. What would make her even more amazing is if she fell for me...

I sighed. Kylie seemed so stubborn. That was an admirable trait in an Alpha female since we Alphas can be unreasonable sometimes. But I have never met any female who hasn't succumbed to my charms by now. And I tried so damn hard too. Was there something wrong with my approach?

"Yeah, you just suck at getting girls like her." My wolf remarked. "She's not like those whores you always hang around."

Hmmm...my wolf actually had a valid point there. I guess I was just used to girls falling at my feet. Guess I'll have to try something different.

With that thought in mind, I sauntered into Calculus AP with five minutes to spare. It seemed pretty empty though. I went up to the man sitting at the desk in front. "Hey, Mr. Ling? I'm Kevin and new."

He just nodded absentmindedly. "Hello, Kevin. Pleasure to meet you. Just sit wherever you like."

Okay...he was cool. I guess grading calc tests was more interesting than talking to me.

I sat down in the middle of the class, making sure there was a seat for Kylie. If she was in this class as well.

3 more minutes to go....

More students were coming in. Where was she?

Kylie's POV

"OMG he's so hot. And funny. And sweet." I rolled my eyes. If I had known Trish was going to gush about Kevin, I would just went straight to Calc. I mean, I hate Calc but listening to her talk about Kevin was worse. Why was she talking about him so much? She had a boyfriend!
