Chapter 6
Kevin's POV
I opened the door to art class. Apparently it was taught by a Mrs. Martinez.
The classroom was pretty nice-airy, big windows, long surprisingly clean desks, and my mate-what? She's in another one of my classes?
I mentally groaned. Kill me now.
My wolf just growled his approval. See? We're meant to be together.
Of course he'll just see the bright side of things.
Her scent wafted over to me. It smelled heavenly.
I took a deep breath.
I know, it sounds gross. The fact that I'm...literally breathing her scent in...but it's like smelling the world's most delicious dessert! I just want more and more of it!
Just then I could see her tense up. I guess she could sense my presence. Mate thing? Didn't know humans could do that. Or maybe it's 'cause I was staring at her. People do tend to feel it when people stare at them...
I saw her eyes widen. Her right hand flew up to her mouth. Aww...nice to know I had such an effect on her! It would make claiming her...I mean...winning the bet so much easier.
Smiling, I started to walk towards her.
Kylie's POV
I could feel my eyes widen as I saw him. In my second period. Before I could stop it, my hand flew to my mouth.
What was he doing in art? Is he like in all of my classes or something? 2 periods with him? This is bad! I'm trying to avoid him! Why does this have to happen to me?
I literally had a mental freakout.
Of course, I freaked out even more, if that was possible, when he started to saunter over to me. Yes, saunter, his walk was sexy...
Snap out of it Kylie!
I watched, unable to do anything, as he came closer and closer.
My doom was approaching.
Okay, I'm being a bit melodramatic. Can you blame me? I was living a drama-free life until he came into my life. As of 2 days ago...
He slid into the seat next to me.
"Hey Kylie, right?" He flashed his smile. "Nice to meet you. I'm Kevin."
I just gaped at him.
I silently prayed to God that I wouldn't embarrass myself. 'cause I didn't have much experiences with guys unless you count talking to them due to projects or ignoring their advances. Like I said, I was shy.
But he was different!
I stuttered out the first thing I could think of. "How...do-o you know my name?"
I bit my lip.
And blushed.
I looked down at the desk.
Smooth. So smooth.
Why did I always have to make a fool of myself in front of him?
I snuck a peek back at him.
He looked like he was trying not to smile as he started to answer me...
The bell rang.
Saved from an answer to a question that I wished I never asked from the bell.
