I was rudely interrupted in my sleep by Shane.

"Get up." He said, I groaned and turned around.

"Tori, get up we're leaving." He said, I sighed and got up, walking outside to see most of the people there. I looked around the little camp we had that we were about to leave. I guess it is for the best considering the fact that we had people die here and it wasn't really safe at all.

I grabbed my remaining stuff and walked to one of the cars, putting my stuff in the boot of a random car. I saw Morales and his family all pack one car together. I walked over.

"Hey, Morales" I said, he stopped packing and looked at me with a smile on his face.

"Hey, Tori." He said, he looked back at his family and began to speak again.

"We aren't going with the group, we have some family in Birmingham so we thought it was best if we went to find them." I smiled and hugged him.

"Good luck," I said as I pulled away from the hug, I looked at the rest of his family and smiled while waving. I walked away, walking towards Rick.

"Where are we headed?" I asked him, he thought his plan out a little in his head before responding.

"To the CDC, I think there could be some survivors there that know what is going on." I nodded and sat in the car that I left my things in. I looked out the window one last time before everybody piled in the cars, or motorbike for Daryl's exception.

On our way there, I was surprised to see so many walkers just lurking around the woods. It really makes me wonder if there are anymore survivors out there.

--

We arrived at the CDC, it was just getting dark when we arrived and there were walkers everywhere, on the streets, in shops and grocery stores. We saw the large doors to the CDC and we started towards them. As we yelled for them to open up, we saw all the walkers on the street head towards us. Rick was shouting that he saw the camera move and that people were in there. The group started dragging me away until the doors opened, causing a great white light to flood out. We all ran inside and the doors shut behind us.

"What do you want?" The man inside asked us.

"We just want a chance." Rick explained, the man sighed.

"That's a lot to ask for these days. Are any of you bitten?" He asked, we all shook our heads. The man nodded.

"Well, you need a blood test so I can make sure and then, you can stay." Everybody nodded but I grew pale. Rick and Shane looked over at me. I know that I have killed a walker before, but this is a needle going into my skin and taking what's mine.

The man introduced himself as Edwin Jenner and walked to a room where we would have our blood tests done. I waited outside, trying to get myself into the right mind set.

'You'll be safe.'

'There isn't any walkers'

'No chance of death unless you get a really bad disease but you should still take your chances.'

I walked into the room and saw Jenner just stick a needle into Shane's arm, I walked back outside and rethought my ideas, hopefully I can get myself through this. I am going to be brave, I walked back into the room and sat where everybody else was sat.

As the last person went up, I started to get really nervous. I saw them sit down, I stood up and Shane stood up too. I shook my head.

"If I want to get over my fears, I have to do them alone." I said, I sat on the little bed he had in the room and Jenner started speaking.

"So, I am putting the needle into your arm in 3, 2-" He was cut off by my squeal of surprise as he had jabbed the needle in before 1. As he retrieved the needle, I glared at him.

"You tricked me." I said, he just chuckled to himself.

"Like taking candy from a baby." He said, I sighed, defeated and walked out of the room.

"So, you can stay in the rooms downstairs but go easy on the hot water." Everybody was excited about taking a shower with hot water but I wasn't really fussed, I enjoyed the lake that I used to bathe in, but at least I get more privacy this way. We all piled into the elevator, as it started to go down, people started to speak to each other about getting the best room. But all that really matters is that we have a room to sleep in.

--

I had showered and found some clean clothes in the wardrobe in my room, I went back to the lift and headed upwards where there was food waiting on the table for me. It felt so surreal for the world we live in today. I sat down and started eating, Jenner popped open some wine and everybody except from the kids started to drink.

"Hey dad, can I try some?" Carl asked, his dad poured him the tiniest bit in the glass and gave it to him. As Carl tried it, he scrunched his face up.

"Ew." He said, I laughed at his reaction, so did the rest of the group. Daryl, Glenn, Rick and I were all drinking wine like it was the last time we would ever have alcohol. Which is probably a fact. As we were drinking glass after glass, I started to feel tipsy and dizzy, like the world was spinning. Yep, definitely drunk. I giggled to myself, as everybody else carried on with their conversations.

--

Most people headed to bed as me, Rick, Glenn and Daryl were still drinking, talking about our old lives. Eventually we all got too tired and headed to bed. I went to my room, and since it was the closest we all went into my room and managed to fit on the bed. There was Daryl, Glenn, Me, then Rick. We all squished up to fit in but we didn't care because we were too intoxicated to care.

--

I woke up with a killer hangover, I can hardly remember what happened last night. I looked and saw Daryl, Glenn and Rick in the same bed as me, I sighed and tried to get up without waking anybody but I was unsuccessful as when I stepped off the bed, they all groaned. I went upstairs and was greeted with Advil and a glass of water.

"My saviour." I said to myself as I swallowed the pill.

"Have you seen Rick?" Lori asked, I nodded as I finished my last gulp of water.

"Yeah, he is in my room." I said, I saw Lori's facial expression change as I realised what I said.

"NO! Not like that, there was me, Glenn, Rick and Daryl in my room because it was the closest and we were all so drunk." She nodded, like she understood and carried on doing what she was doing before.

"Why is that clock counting down?" Sofia asked, Jenner started to explain and what he said shocked me.
