Maggie went back to check on her father while we stood outside still debating.
"Looky here." Daryl said while looking over to the gates. I saw Hershel with crutches walking out while Maggie and Beth followed closely behind, making sure he didn't fall.
"All right, Hershel!"I shouted
"Shh! Keep your cheers down" Rick replied
"He is one tough son of a bitch." I stated
"Watch your language" Rick said in a joking tone.
"Make me." I replied while laughing and cussing in his face. He eventually retaliated by putting his hand over my mouth. I licked his hand and he immediately pulled it away. I laughed at his shocked look and carried on watching Hershel.
Maggie laughs, everybody's smiling, even Rick and Lori exchange a smile. Suddenly, a herd of walkers appears behind Carl.
"CARL!" I scream, he hears me and turns around.
"Walkers! Look out!" Carl shouts.
Rick and the others see the walkers. Rick runs toward the courtyard but is forced to go around the fences. Lori shoots a walker, while Hershel tries to run away.
"Get out! Get out of there! No! Lori!" Rick is shouting hysterically, trying to make sure everyone survives. Maggie, Carl and T-Dog are shooting as many walkers as they can.
"Carl! Go in there!" Rick ordered as he saw Beth and Hershel about to go inside the prison. Beth opens the door, but Hershel has trouble walking up the stairs. A walker arrives behind him.
"Daddy, behind you!" She screamed before I put a bullet in the walkers brain.
I began running in the same direction as Rick, Daryl and Glenn, seeing that they found their way into the courtyard. They open the gate and killed some walkers, only to see that Hershel and Beth are behind another closed gate.
"What the hell happened?" Rick asked Beth, hoping she would know.
"The gate was open!" She exclaimed, seeming out of breath.
"Where's Lori, Carl, everyone else?" Rick asked, I could see the worried look on his face. I didn't realise how much he still cared about Lori, even though they never really talk.
"Maggie led Lori and Carl into C block!" Hershel told us, hopefully they're ok.
"And T was bit!" Beth added, I sighed and put my head in my hands, T was a good man.
"Anyone else?" I asked, hoping for a rejection.
"I couldn't tell." Beth said, she looked like she was going to cry.
"Stay put!" Rick told us while Glenn cut a walker's head off, Daryl and Rick continue shooting them while I just watched, there wasn't enough walkers for me to have to shoot.
"Those chains didn't break on their own. Someone took and ax or cutters to 'em." Glenn states, I looked and saw the two prisoners at the gate, looking at us.
Do you think they did it?" I asked, growing suspicious.
"Who else?" Rick asked.
Suddenly, an alarm inside the prison goes off, attracting more walkers. I didn't even know they still worked!
"What's that?" Glenn asked, dumbfounded. Walkers were quick to come from the woods and it seemed like they were coming from every place in the country.
"Oh! You gotta be kidding me!"
"Daryl!" Rick shouts, indicating to him that they need to shoot at every speaker there is in the courtyard. Glenn and I begin to do the same.
I run towards Oscar and Axel, pointing my gun at them.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, it has to be the backup generators!" He exclaimed, I'm guessing he is trying to save his own life.
"Well how do you turn those on?" I asked.
"There's three that's connected to a diesel tank, okay? Each one controls a certain part of the prison. The hatch shut them all off when the prison was overrun!" Oscar told me. I guess that works out. Rick walked over, joining the conversation.
"Can someone open up the main gates electronically, with full power?" Rick asks.
"Well, I only went in there a few days, I... I guess it might be possible." Axel agreed.
"Come with us!"
"Let's go!" I shouted. We all start running to the prison. We are looking for a way to stop the alarm, while looking for the rest of the group.
"Lori! Carl!" Rick shouted, still looking.
"We just took down five of 'em in here!" Daryl said, referring to the walkers. "There were four in here, but no sign of Lori or anyone!" By this point, I realised that he really does care about Lori, even though she cheated on him.
"They must have been pushed back into the prison!" Glenn said.
"Whoever gets to the generators first, shut 'em down!" Rick said and we all split up.
--
We were in the courtyard after managing to turn the speakers off, still no sign of Maggie, Carl and Lori but it has been believed that Carol and T are dead. We were all stood, wondering whether to believe it or not when we hear a baby cry. Rick turns around and Maggie opens the gate, entering the courtyard with Carl and the baby. She's crying, unable to say a word. I guessed that Lori was dead and I covered my mouth with my hand.
I wasn't crying because of Lori, I was crying for Rick and Carl. Rick moves towards them, dropping his weapons, he starts to understand.
"Where is... where is she?" He tries to go back in the prison, but Maggie stops him.
"No, Rick, don't!" Maggie said. He starts crying, and looks at Carl.
"Oh no.... No! No!" He kept crying. Glenn tries to comfort Maggie by holding her, but she keeps crying.
"No..." Rick said one last time before he lets himself fall on the ground, sobbing.
