"Rick, you with me?" I asked, he looked so out of it, I didn't know what to do.

"Rick?" Someone else asked.

"Let me see the baby. We're gonna feed it. We got anything a baby can eat?" I demanded, everyone looked tired and desperate. I handed the baby to Hershel.

"The good news is she looks healthy. But she needs formula. And soon, or she won't survive." Hershel announced.

"I'll go." I said, but I was cut off by Rick.

"No. No way. Not her. We ain't losing nobody else." I nodded, deciding not to go, I'll look after Carl instead. Daryl has decided to go on the run for baby formula. After that, Rick stormed inside.

"Kid just lost his mom. His dad ain't doing so hot. I'll look out for him and the baby" I said,  taking the baby who was crying.

"Get the gate. Come on, we're gonna lose the light." Daryl stated.

"There's a Piggly Wiggly on 85." I said, trying to be helpful

"No, the baby section's been cleared. Lori asked me to keep an eye out and I haven't had much luck." Maggie exclaimed.

"Is there any place that hasn't been completely looted?" I asked, taking charge.

"We saw signs for a shopping center just north of here." Glenn said.

"Yeah, but there's too much debris on the road. The car will never get through there." Daryl stated.

"I can take one of you." Daryl said looking at the rest of the group.

"I'll go." Maggie spoke up.

"No, Maggie, after everything that you've been through, okay, I'll go." Glenn said.

"I want to go. For Lori, I have to. Okay. I love you. " Glenn said, agreeing for Maggie to go with them.

"Be safe." I said.

"We will." They said.

"Rick?" I asked.

"Still inside." Hershel answered.

"Okay, I'll get him." I said, walking inside the prison.

"Rick?" I shout as I walk further into the dark prison.

"Everybody's worried about you." I said, not knowing what to say.

"You shouldn't be in here." I heard Rick reply.

"Come on out. Rick. You don't have to do this all by yourself. Okay?" I asked, genuinely worried about his wellbeing.

"Rick, why don't you just come with me? Okay? Rick." I ask.

--

I had no chance of getting Rick back so I went back myself.

"Everybody okay?" He asked, walking up to me.

"Yeah, we are. What about you?" I asked him, surprised.

"I cleared out the boiler block." He stated, looking at his bloody hands.

"How many were there?" I asked, worried.

"I don't know. A dozen, two dozen. I have to get back. Just wanted to check on Carl." He said, looking around for Carl.

"Rick, we can handle taking out the bodies. You don't have to. -" He cut me off before I finished.

"No, I do." He stated. I shook my head.

"At least let me clean your wounds so you don't get any walker blood in them." He nodded and sat down on my bed. I grabbed some gauze and bandages before cleaning out the wounds and making his hands clean again. He would flinch every so often but I carried on because I knew he could handle it. I put the gauze on his hand before wrapping a bandage around it, hoping that he doesn't rip it.

"Thanks" He said, I nodded.

"Rick," I said, he stopped and turned his head to look at me.

"Take it easy." I said, he nodded and went back to kill more walkers.

A/N: So, I know I didn't update for a while before this and that was because I was working on a story that I haven't published yet. It is another Rick one but it is in the alternate universe where the zombie apocalypse never happened. Here's a sneak peak;

"You don't understand! Every time you run back to him he uses you yet you continue to let him!"

"Well maybe it's the closest thing I have to a relationship."

I don't want to ruin anymore and the people speaking are anonymous but it won't take you long to figure it out... Hopefully. :D
