I went right into the heart of London. I decided that to find him, I would just ask people on the street if they know a man called "the Doctor". I supposed he looked like my father, so I would be able to know who it was if I saw him. My mom didn't tell me much about the man, but she did tell me he had a blue box called the TARDIS and that he had a device called a sonic screwdriver. I have no idea how a screwdriver could be sonic, but that's just what I've been told. A sonic screwdriver. Nope, still don't know what it could be. I walked up to my first person on the street.
"Hello, might I ask, do you know a man called The Doctor?" I asked a lady.
"Doctor who? I know a lot of doctors, what's their name?" She told me.
"No, his name is the Doctor. Just the Doctor," I told her. She said she didn't know anybody who's name was Doctor. She walked off mumbling about what a silly name Doctor was and something about who in the world would name their child that. I talked to several more people, and every time the conversation went mostly like the one I had the first time. Nobody knew who the Doctor was. I decided I would go back to my apartment, for it was getting dark outside. I would try again in the morning. When it was morning time, I quickly got dressed and ate an apple before I set out again to the heart of the fabulous city of London. I spent two hours asking people if they knew the Doctor, but all of them said no. I kept asking people until I finally got a different answer from someone.
"Excuse me, sir, but do you know who the Doctor is," I asked a strange man politely. When I said "the Doctor", he stopped walking down the street and turned to face me.
"Why, yes. I certainly do know who the Doctor is," the man simply said, a bit questionary, before he stared walking off again. I was so surprised by his answer that I stood frozen for a few seconds as he walked off, but as soon as I came to my senses I turned and ran towards the man, trying to catch up. I got up beside him and started walking beside him.
"I'm sorry, but did you say that you did know a man named the Doctor? His name is just the Doctor, he's not a doctor, so that might be a bit confusing," I said to him.
"Yep. I know a man called the Doctor," he told me. Yes! Someone finally knows him!!
"Could you tell me where he is?" I asked excitedly.
"Oh, yes. I know exactly where he is. He's walking right beside you."
I stopped dead in my tracks and stared at him.
