The world started blurring through my eyes. The noise that was going on around me seemed to slow down and become distant. I could see the dalek blow up. That's a good thing, I guess. I then saw the Doctor kneeling down beside me. There were tears in his eyes as he looked down at me. I think he thinks I'm already dead. I try to move my hand to tell him I'm not dead yet. I slowly move my hand up to touch his arm. At this a very surprised expression took over his face and he started crying even more, (well, as much as a timelord can cry) probably feeling sympathy for me. He slowly took my hand and put it onto my stomach. He then scooped me up bride style from the floor and, with tears in his eyes, carried me into the TARDIS and all the way into my room, onto my bed. He kneeled down beside the bed and set his head down onto the sheets of the bed, not wanting to look at my dead body any more. But I wasn't dead yet. I had a terrible throbbing in my head and my body hurt all over, but I wasn't dead yet.

Then my head stopped throbbing. This must be what it feels like to die. Everything stops hurting, and then you die. Then my whole body stopped aching. I closed my eyes, ready to go. Ready to die.

But I didn't die. Not yet. I opened my eyes. I have a scar on my hand from when I was little, and I wanted to touch it to remind me of my past, of my family, of my mom. I rub my thumb over the spot on my hand. It's not there. I've had this scar for years, I know where it is! I can't believe I can't feel it!! I lift my hand carefully up to my face to examine it, and I can't believe what I am seeing.

My hand is glowing. It's a gold kind of glow and it's pretty bright. Is this what happens to people when they die? The light seems to have erased the scar from my body. That's weird. It's like it's healing my whole body before I die. I've never heard of this happening to people before when they die. Maybe my mom just never had the heart to tell me what happens when people die. I pick up my other hand to examine it, to see if it's doing the same thing. It also has the light, golden glow.

Then, all of a sudden, my hands fly out to my sides(hitting the Doctor in the head with my hand), bursting with the gold energy. Then my head flies upwards and also has golden energy flowing through it. Then, all at once, it stops. I'm still alive! I feel like a whole other person. I look over at the Doctor to see that his eyes are very wide and his mouth is hanging open.

"Penelope Tyler, did you just regenerate?"
