3rd POV
Hours have past as Penny, Jack, and the Doctor caught back up with each other and discussed what had happened over the years. The baby boy Sailor had gone into his room and had gone to sleep, the three year old girl Maren had not come out of her room most of the day, not wanting to socialize with people today for whatever reason, and Molly had silently been watching the adults talk. Finally, she couldn't take it anymore and just had to ask.
"Who are you?" The little girl Molly said to the Doctor as she walked and stared up at him.
"I'm the Doctor from the planet Gallifrey which is millions of light year away from here and I have a space and time traveling machine called the TARDIS which takes me all over the universe," the Doctor said as he leaned down and put his hands on his knees and tried to speak as softly as he could. Molly looked over at her mom with wide eyes and then back to the Doctor then back to her mom and back again.
"Mommy, this guy's scaring me," Molly said as she looked back over to Penelope. The Doctor got down on his knees so that he was at the same level as Molly and looked her straight in the eye. Their faces were only inches apart from each other. The Doctor squinted his eyes at her, and then she did the same at him. The Doctor raised his eyebrows and she also did the same.
"You know what, Molly," the Doctor said to her, not moving and looking straight into her eyes, "I guess it is pretty scary. I mean, I'm from a completely different planet than you, and traveling around the universe can be pretty dangerous. I meet monsters and aliens that you would probably never be able to think of in your wildest dreams. I've died plenty of times, so I know how dangerous, and scary, it can be. But, you know what, along with being all scary and dangerous, it's also pretty cool. In fact, it's so cool, I can't get enough of it. So I just keep going back, and going back, for more. It's like an addiction after awhile. An addiction to danger. It's really fun, though. Maybe you should try it sometime," the Doctor finally finished as he smiled at her. Molly's eyes started getting bigger and bigger and her smile became bigger and bigger until the Doctor could swear he could see each and every one of those tiny little teeth she had inside of her mouth. Then, Molly did something the Doctor was completely not ready for. She jumped at him and hugged him. It was the best hug the Doctor had had in a while. The Doctor hugged the little girl back, and he knew that it was genuine and knew that it was real. Molly finally let go and then ran over to Penny.
"Mommy, can I go? Can I go travel and go see all the aliens and have fun? Can I really go, please?" The girl begged. Penny looked at the Doctor, not knowing what to say to her daughter. The Doctor just shrugged and mouthed 'you're on your own'. Penny knelt down and looked at her child, staring into those big, blue eyes of hers.
"You're too young right now, sweetie. Maybe when your older," Penny tried to explain. The smile on Molly's face slowly faded.
"But I want to go now!!" Molly whined. She's ran away from the group and went into a hallway and into a room which, the Doctor assumed, was her bedroom, and shut the door.
"Well, that went well," Penny said sarcastically as she got back up onto her feet.
"You didn't have to be so harsh..." The Doctor murmured, mostly to himself. But, unfortunately for him, Penny heard him.
"I was not being harsh, Doctor! Now, I think it's time for you to leave while we go to bed for the night," Penny said, clearly enraged by the Doctor.
"Alright, alright," he said as he headed towards the door, "I'll see you guys tomorrow," he said as he walked out the door.
"Well, I'm going to go take a shower...." Jack said awkwardly as he slipped away to the bathroom.
"I'm going to go tuck the kids in," Penny yelled to him. Penny walked into Sailor and Maren's room and silently kissed Sailor goodnight and then finally got Maren to let go of the toys she was playing with and put on her pajamas. She walked into Molly's room and saw that she must already be in bed. As silently as Penny could, she walked over to kiss Molly goodnight. But, there was nothing to kiss. Molly was not in her bed. Penny turned on the lights and looked around her room, but Molly was not in there. She started frantically looking around the whole house and calling her name to see if she could see if she was anywhere. Finally Jack came out of the shower and she ran right up to him.
"Jack, Molly is missing."
