Date with Eli

Today is the my day with Eli and my chance to ask about his "potential girlfriend". I love Eli and I want the best for him. It was 11:30 when I woke up with a call from Eli telling me to be ready about 12:30. I got out of bed and picked out an outfit for the day. *outfit to the side* After I laid out my attire I took a nice shower and did my other hygiene things. I got dressed and put my hair into a neat bun. My mother came into the room as I was doing my hair and asked where I was going. I told her I was going on my monthly date with Eli. My mother loves Elijah. She always ask why me and him never get together, I just look at her and say “We’re just friends Ma and you know that.” I think my ma wants me and Eli to get together so bad, but I don’t know why. I mean I love Eli and he makes me happy but that would just make our friendship so WEIRD ! It was now 12:15. I had 15 minutes to spare so I asked my ma if she could fix me a little breakfast, she did. I love being the only child. I’m so spoiled. My ma fixed some bacon, eggs, grits, and sausage. It was sooo good lol. I love food btw. As I began to eat I felt some hands cover my face and heard a voice say guess who. I knew it had to be my Pops. I turned around to see Eli holding some flowers and smiling. My best friend had a gorgeous smile that can turn any rainy day into sunshine. He was dressed so nice and looked so handsome. And my ma just HAD to take a picture to send to my pops, who also wonders why me and Eli aren’t a couple.

In the car Eli wouldn’t tell me where we were going so I just had to sit back and ride. It was a 30 minute car ride when we pulled over on side of the rode and Eli put a blind fold over my eyes and said no peeking. It didn’t take much longer to get to where we were going. He helped me out the car and I smelled freshness. He led me out destination and told me I could take my blindfold, I did. I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was a picnic in the park and it was BEAUTIFUL! I gave Eli a big hug and kissed his cheek. Eli never did anything like this since we’ve started the whole once a month date thing. Its usually a dinner and movie then maybe back to his house our mines for a little sleep over. I was just speechless and still couldn’t believe my eyes. He looked at me and said “Are you gone sit down?” I sat down and gazed at all my favorite foods. Chocolate chip cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, gushers, turkey sandwiches, lays chips and my favorite drink, Cherry Coke. My best friend has made my whole day. “Thank you Eli. This is the best day of my life” I blushed. He looked at me and said this not even the best part. I asked how did he get all of this set up while he came to get me. He told me that Mariah and Ava helped. I was shocked and confused at the same time, but I didn’t ask questions. We ate and talked. He asked about my relationship with Kayden and how everything was going. I told him it was great and that he would be moving closer so I could see him more. He was happy to see me happy.

I thought about what Elijah said about is “potential girlfriend” and brought up the topic. I asked him why he never made his move and he told me that he doesn’t think she notice him. I looked at him like really Eli. “What you mean you don’t think she notices you? Eli, you’re handsome, smart, funny, and can have any girl you want. How can she not notice that?” I stated. “ Shai I don’t wanna talk about this anymore lets enjoy our date please.” he looked annoyed but I left it alone. We enjoyed the rest of our night with small talk and my favorite foods. I didn’t notice that it was almost 4 o’ clock when we finished eating. Eli told me that he had something else for us to and that I would love it. We packed up everything and went to the car. We drove to the roller rink where we use to go every Friday after school. I looked and Eli and laughed. “What are we doing here?” I asked. “ You’ll see.” he said helping me out of the car. We got inside, “ I don’t have any socks Elijah.” I said. “That’s fine, we didn’t come here to skate.” he smiled. I don’t know what Elijah had up his sleeves but I didn’t ask any questions. He grabbed my hand and led me to the back of the building where a screen was projected on the wall. I guess this is the movie part of our date. We watched OUR favorite movie Love&Basketball. We cuddled as we watched the movie. “I love you Kayla” he said kissing my forehead. “I love you too Eli.” I replied. After the movie, we went to his place for our sleep over. I told my mom where I was and told her I’ll be home in the morning. I took a shower and put on one of Eli’s shirts and looked in my drawer where I keep all of my under wear for when I stay over. I grabbed a pair and slid them on. Just as I laid in the bed, Eli was getting out the shower and walked in the bedroom with nothing on but a towel. It wasn’t my first time that I’ve seen him with a towel on but it was something about this time that just turned me on. I smiled and blushed. He noticed and asked if I like what I saw. I nodded and laid back on the bed. He put on a pair of boxers and laid next to me. I faced him, “ I enjoyed our day with you today Elijah.” He kissed my forehead and told me he glad I did. I kissed his cheek. He asked what was it for and I told him for everything. He wrapped his arms around me and we fell asleep.
