Music

The statement above is true.

I have found recently that I can't listen to a single song without automatically making into an epic music video based on whatever character I happen to be thinking about.

And since I write both Fanfiction and my own original stories it happens with many different characters.

But as long as I'm on the subject of music in a book about writing I'll just say, music is my go to place for inspiration.

Soundtracks, my favorite bands and singers, they all work one way or another.

Two of my stories are based off of songs. Well, In the Woddshop is based off of one song while Wires and Glass is based off an entire album.

Music also helps me write. Whenever I sit (actually I lay down) to write I put my headphones on and play my Awesome Mix Volume 1.

And BAM

Inspiration.

I'm telling you, that playlist has music for any situation a writer may have to write about.

Fighting, love, wonder, sadness, death, happiness, chase scenes, seriously it has everything.

Of course it is only volume 1 so I will probably make another one.

That mix includes songs by Skillet and Owl City. The rest are mainly soundtracks. I am currently in the market for new songs for Volume 2.

But anyway, back on track.

Another thing I do with music is read while I listen to it.

But one of the biggest mistakes I made recently was when I read a super sad story while listening to super sad music.

The result?

Me trying desperately to hold back tears while also trying to appreciate the beauty of words.

So basically what I'm summing up here is this: Without music I probably couldn't write.

I mean, I could. But it would lack depth.

So on a completely unrelated sidenote, I am now accepting questions.

Questions you might have about my writing, questions regarding writing, if you want advice, I'm ready to answer questions! If you're interested in asking me a question just leave one in the comments and I will answer. Alright I'm done. And I have no idea why I underlined all of this.
