Cassie was spending a lot of time with Christopher lately, she was completely admires his sense of humour and how much he loves nature. They have so many things in common they never not have things to talk about.

Cassie feels guilty for keeping this a secret from Stevie, Cassie wasn't even going to keep in contact with Christopher but once she got to know him, he was genuinely a sweet boy.

That Cassie liked...

Shit!!!

She instantly wanted a friend so she thought of someone that popped into her head first.

Luke.

She got out her phone and asked him if he wanted to go swimming at the beach, at midnight.

He agreed and told her he was just leaving, she headed to the beach feeling so disgusted with herself and worried.

--
"This is fucking cold!" Cassie squeaks and Luke splashed her making her shiver.

"Remind me again why you wanted to come to the beach at this time of night? We could of done this in the morning" he asked confusedly but he didn't mind this, anything to help a friend.

"Well, everything is more mysterious at night. Plus I think better" Cassie said as her cold breath blended in with the deep freezing ocean.

"What's on your mind?" Luke questioned. They both never got use to the water being cold so they just stayed still looking at each other half naked in swimming wear.

"Well, you know how my parents don't know that I'm gay" Luke nodded as she continued on.

"Well, they set me up with a boy and I've gown to...like him" she looked down feeling ashamed to look at him.

"You dig him?" His voice going shaky with the temperature of the water.

"Kind of-"

"No Cassie you can't!" He reminded her.

"I know that Luke" she wines, she slashed the water getting frustrated, she placed her hands on her eyes making every thing go black. Luke swam over to her and remained her hands away from her face so she's now looking at him.

"Maybe it's just a phase" Luke offered.

"Or maybe me being gay is just a phase" she blankly said making Luke go in shock.

"Cas-"

"No, what if I'm not really gay and I'm just getting twisted. My parents are doing the right thing by hooking me up with a boy because that's fucking normal" she sighed.

"You think gay people aren't normal?" Luke questioned.

"Of course not, but maybe I'm not normal."

"No one is normal, and I know for sure you love the fuck out of Stevie. Don't be patronised by some snobby dick. Stevie is everything to you and you can not loose her." Luke places his hands on her shoulder trying to make her stupid thoughts snap out.

Then Cassie bursted into tears, Luke grabbed her into a tight hug. He hates seeing her upset because he knew how hard it was when Cassie and Stevie first dated and each year after year it gets harder for the both of them. If only her parents weren't so fucking Christen and strict about being gay she wouldn't be so scared.

"You love her don't you" it wasn't even a question, she did love her.

"I fucking do" she weeps.

"Good" he rubs her back to calm her down and she does.

They both separate and Cassie whipped away her tears.

"Why did I say that?? Of course she means so much to me. How could I say that" she felt disappointed in herself.

"It's probably the cold water going through your brain making you go all nuts" he pokes her head and she laughed.

She looked at him nodding her head, "what would I do without you?" She asked.

"You wouldn't be here that's for sure" he chuckled at the sight of them still in the water, they're surprised they've not frozen to death yet.

"We should probably get out" Cassie said hesitatingly.

"Good idea" they both scurried towards the sand to get dry and warm.
