18 "i just slipped"

Stevie and Cassie never spoke for the rest of the trip. In fact Stevie never even blinked.

She just wanted to be alone watching the ocean rise and then sink back down, it reflected in her eyes as she never blinked once.

She hugged her knees into her chest, nuzzling her face into them.

The gang couldn't help but talk about the whole situation. Cassie was beside Luke as they strolled through the beach having a massive discussion.

"I can't believe you said that to her" he sighed.

"I didn't mean to, I just slipped..." She looked down at her feet.

"Just like Christopher's dick, it just slipped right?"

"Fuck you" she hit his shoulder roughly.

"Don't blame me Cassie." He answered.

Cassie stopped walking, Luke felt an empty space so he stopped and turned around to see her standing there looking lost.

"I've ruined everything, haven't I?" She slowly asked.

He sighed couldn't resist but be by her side at this point.

"No" he lied to make her feel better.

"But I have, I've fucked up big time." She kicked the sand in frustration.

"Stop, don't beat yourself down. We all make mistakes but, we just have to put up with them and make things work. That's how you accomplish them."

"What do I do?" She wondered.

He sighed trying to think. "To stay strong."

She nodded closing her eyes.

"Stevie would you like a drink of water?" Michael asked her, she simply nodded her head not leaving her sight on the ocean.

"She's been like this for days man" he said to Florence.

"I'll try and talk to her" she sat down next to her, starting to play with her hair.

"Steeeeeeevieee" she said but Stevie didn't move.

"I know you can hear me loveeeeee" every E she could think of she would put emphasis to it the most.

"You know you're okay, trust meeeeee" Florence put her head on her shoulder and decided to stop speaking but just join into her world for a bit.

Meagan stood behind them feeling bad for what Stevie has to go through. Ashton put his cold hand on her shoulder.

"This must be hard on her" she said looking up at the tall boy.

"It will be" he nodded.

"I think we should call this a day" Meagan offered and Ashton agreed.

"Alright guys, let's go home" he said loudly and surprisingly everyone got up and listened.
