Cassie has a big dinner tonight with her family, she is nervous because the boy she will have to be with is joining them.

She looked at her in the mirror, she's not wearing her usual tight hot pink crop top with baggy denim jeans, she is wearing a pencil skirt, blouse- basically she's dressed up as Clio.

Her parents don't know that when Cassie is outdoors she changes her clothes into her normal attire.

She has a posh but very strict family so even the gang sometimes make fun of her actions she does sometimes, but Stevie does make her act herself which makes her happy in every way.

But for now, she has to make her family proud with her school work and future. Little did her parents know that her future was to be with Stevie all her life and go on road trips with her best friends.

She gets a knock on her door and she accepts the gesture and her mother walks in.

"Dinner is nearly ready Cassandra darling" she cringes with her real name but doesn't show it fully to her mum or else it would cause a problem, plus only her friends call her Cassie and they don't know that's Cassandra is her full name.

"Okay mother, I'll be downstairs in a moment" she smiles and her mother nods but continued to talk.

"Christopher is already here" she informs her daughter and Cassie gave in and followed her mother downstairs.

She see's the boy standing by the door with her father, he had the style of a sixty year old man in the 1940s.

"Christopher, welcome" Cassie's mother waves at the boy, he raised his head showing his vibrant white teeth.

"Hello there Mrs Baxter" he bowed down which made Cassie laugh inside but on the outside she was dead and frozen. She had to be presentable, when the boy stared at her she gave a cheesy smile and he done the same back.

"This is my beautiful daughter Cassandra" her mother gently pushed her towards Christopher but she was a bit stif.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Cassandra" he kissed her hand but she felt no emotion what so ever nor feelings. Only Stevie was on her mind, oh dear Stevie.

She snapped her thoughts out.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Christopher."

The family were sitting at the table eating their dinner, to Cassie it was poison on a plate.

There was an vibration going through the table, Cassie eyes winding as her cheeks flushed into a red tint.

It was her phone, she got a message from Stevie.

"Cassandra, you know there's no phone at the dinner table" her mother shout whispers as she blows on the hot soup.

"Sorry" she mumbled but seriously no one was spelling, all you could hear was quiet slurping and metal hiring against the plates.

She was bored out of her mind what did she expect? She always avoided dinner with her parents because this usually happens.

"Who was it anyways darling?" Her mother asked.

"It was just Stevie" she answered back placing her phone back in her pocket.

"She's always around this Stevie" she said repulsively at her name. Cassie just looked down at her food, she couldn't exactly go ape shit because then her parents would get embarrassed and Christopher would be honestly disgusted.

"With all her tattoos and piercings, is she broken?" Her mother continues and her father also agreed.

"Who is this Stevie?" Christopher spoke up politely asking Cassie's mother.

"She's Cassandra's best friend which is hard to believe"

Girlfriend.

That's all she can hear going through her head.

"She's a bit of a trouble maker if you ask me-"

"No she's not." Cassie spoke up.

"Excuse me young lady, do not interrupt your mother" her father spat and she sighed.

"Sorry mother" she quietly said and her mother just nodded and went back to insults.

"She's also has a mother who's single, the poor thing wonder why her husband left her but then I can imagine, she's too trampy-"

"Mother!" Cassie shouts hitting her hand against the table, it made everyone in the room go silent. The horror in her parents' eyes were priceless, Christopher looking down not wanting to get into this whole thing.

"Stevie and her mother are NOT trampy. She's my best friend-"

Girlfriend.

"-and I love her very much. You don't even know her and I like to keep it that way as far as you know you could insult even more. It's disgusting, never judge someone for the way they look because deep down they two are beautiful strong women who deserve the world with each other. If you don't like that mother I can't ever forgive you" as she finished off she walked out.

She closed the door behind her feeling so alone.

She slid down her door and felt tears pouring down her face, how can her parents be so cruel? If they found out she was a lesbian God knows what would happen- much worse for that matter.

She heard the door open, she looked up at the familiar boy who was greeted to her earlier on.

"Pardon me but are alright?" He said in his posh tone, she sniffed nodding her head.

He kneeled down and gently sat next to her, making everything less uncomfortable but it wasn't really working since they first met.

"What is ever the matter Cassandra?" He asked hoping for an answer from the sorrow girl.

"They can't just talk about my best friend like that, it's repulsive" she said still using her posh language since the boy wouldn't understand anything else that's street wise.

"I do agree it was a bit too extreme, for someone you truly care about" he gives her a sympathetic smile and she did the same.

"My parents just don't understand me, there's a lot they don't know about me as a human."

"You're different and that is pretty...cool" he was shocked by his use of words but nodded his head, "yeah that's right, cool" he seemed proud of himself which made Cassie giggle.

"You know, for a snobby boy who dresses up and my grandad, you're not that bad" she pokes him with her elbow.

"Thank you" he said confusedly but just took the compliment.
