"Is she ready yet?" Asked Amberley, an angel of the Lord.
"Not yet, but soon," the Lord responded to her, looking over Laura. He was listening to her prayers, considering her thoughts and her feelings.
"God, I feel like it's almost time," Laura prayed. "I feel prepared. I feel my earthly body deteriorating. I want to come home to You now, Lord. But Lord, help my mother find You. She's lost, and she needs You to reveal Yourself to her. I think she has had a hard time seeing any good since I was diagnosed with cancer. But even though the sickness doesn't seem good to me, I know for Your reasons, it is. You never let something bad happen without a greater good. Lord, You are so good for that. I praise You. Amen."
"I will, little Laura," God whispered silently. "I will reveal myself to her. I will fight to have your mother no matter what Satan tries. And I am doing something great. Your life is meaningful and good, and you will soon spend it in My house."
God sighed, releasing the silent whisper into Laura's ears. If she was listening, she would hear.
"When are you expecting her? Should I prepare her room?" Asked Amberley.
"Soon. Her room is already prepared," He said. "I prepared it long ago. She should've arrived when she was seven, but her parents prayed for her and extended her time with them."
"How about Tobias?" Asked Amberley. She cared about the humans, especially the young ones, and always wanted to know when they were coming in. She wanted to greet them with open arms.
"He is a miracle in the works. He will prove that with prayer, anything is possible and even a murderous sickness can be overcome. Not many are sick for years with serious cancer and defeat it. Tobias will, and he will grow to be strong in faith and proclaim my name to the nations," the Lord answered.
"You are good, Lord, You are so good!" Cheered Amberley. "Miracles come from You and only You!"
The other Angels cheered with her and chanted, "Worthy is the Lamb Who was slain, holy, holy is He!"
Amberley felt full and complete here in the presence of her Lord. Life couldn't possibly get better, because life is found in the Lord, and only in the Lord. She couldn't wait to greet young Laura into Heaven so that she could celebrate Jesus right along side of them.
