Laura went home and made things right with her father as she planned, and then requested to her mom that she contact Steven and arrange a meeting time, since she couldn't bring herself to contact him herself. Her mother was more than willing and arranged a time to meet next week. Laura then called Tobias to update him. Of course, he requested to meet Steven with a complementary picture and autograph. At that Laura laughed and subtly declined.

After a long day of change and events, Laura lied down to sleep. It didn't take long to fall asleep, only ten to fifteen minutes. Before then, though, Laura prayed a silent prayer.

Lord, I'm struggling. This change is really hard on me right now. I'm so grateful for a man stepping in to be my father when my biological one stepped down, but I can't help but to wish I've always known. Or better yet, for Steven to have never left. It leaves me feeling rejected now, and I'm sure Mom felt rejected since then, too. I wonder if Mom didn't get pregnant so soon, if Steven would've eventually been my father, staying and all. I wonder if they would've gotten married and had me then. No sense in wondering, I suppose, huh, Lord? It doesn't change anything. But Lord, please free me from this pain from everything hard in life. Free me from this cancer, free me from the burden of family problems, and free me from conflict with Toby. I do love him, Lord, even as more than a friend. But I know he's not whom You intended for me. I don't know how to make him understand that without hurting his feelings. Plus, I don't want him to get too attached to me. If he loses me like that, it'll kill him. I know it'll hurt him losing me with friendship, but losing me with romance will bring him unimaginable pain. I don't want him to suffer through that. Anyway, Lord, thanks for being here. You are good. In Jesus' name, Amen.

After praying the prayer, Laura quickly fell asleep.

"She's ready," God told Amberley.

"Now? For us, You mean?" She confirmed.

"For the process," God said. "We will begin it tonight. As she requested in her prayers, I'm going to free her of her earthly pain. Unfortunately, it will be hard on those who love her, but they will have beautiful testimonies to encourage others to know me after healing. Especially Steven Nova. He will come to find me and also encourage other young men to stay with their children and partners and highly recommend abstinence until marriage. Andrew will become a foster parent and lead his foster children to me. Tobias will beat cancer and understand what a feat it was after seeing Laura pass, testify about how I saved Him. Last but not least, Aubrey will follow through with Laura's wish."

"How will we begin the process?" Asked Amberley, prepared to do whatever needed done.

"She will begin to feel very sick," explained God, rather gloomily. He hated to allow His children to endure hardships. "Tonight she awaken from an unstoppable fit of coughing that will require that she goes to the hospital. She will be at the hospital for a very short period of time until I send you to escort her home."

"Your will be done," nodded Amberley solemnly.

After about two hours, Laura awakened to a seemingly unstoppable, violent fit of coughing. In between breaths she called for her mom. With her mom not waking up to her weak voice across rooms, Laura reached for her cell phone and dialed 911.

"911, what's your emergency?" A woman's voice answered.

"My name is Laura Sumters," she explained, her voice frail. "I have stage four cancer. I've waken up in a horrendous coughing fit. I can't speak loud enough for my mom to hear me, so I need you to send out an ambulance to help me. I can't stop." Still violently coughing, she gave the woman her address and waited ten minutes for the ambulance to arrive. By that time, Laura lost nearly all of her strength, but the cough didn't.

"What's going on?" Aubrey asked the paramedics, confused about their arrival.

Rushing to get Laura, they explained, "Laura called us, she's having a violent coughing fit and said you didn't wake up to her so she called us."

Aubrey was frightened and repeatedly apologized to Laura as she followed her back into the squad. She was thankful she was allowed to be in there with her in the ride to the hospital. Immediately after arriving to the hospital, they put her in a room with medications. Quiana happened to be there and helped comfort Laura and Aubrey.
