Lev released an exhausted sigh as he pulled down his tie that gripped on his collar. Work was tiring, he didn't want to go again but unfortunately, he has to.
He twist and opened the door, revealing you in a pink apron with a cake on your hands. His face broke into a smile and threw his briefcase on the couch before approaching you. "Hello"
You greeted as you placed the cake on the table. He wrapped his arms around your shoulder, placing his chin on your head as he look down at your cake.
"What's the cake for?"
You gently pry his arms and removed your apron as you walk to sit across the table. You motioned him to sit down as he did so. His eyebrows slowly furrowed.
"Try to guess, my dear" as a smirk formed on your lips.
But before he could speak up. His phone buzzed.
Fr: Kuroo
To : Idiot Lev
Subj; Heh,
Congratulations, man.
His furrowed eyebrows deepened.
To: Kuroo
Fr: Idiot Lev
Subj; What?
I don't get it.
Fr: Kuroo
To: Idiot Lev
Subj; Oh?
It should be from her ;)
Then he glanced up back at you. Your smirk was already wide that made him more confused and increased his curiosity. "So?"
"Is it your birthday today?"
You chuckled as you shook your head. Though you wanted to tell him but you decided to let him guess on his own. That you were two weeks-pregnant. Yes, pregnant.
You've been feeling nauseous since the past few weeks. At first, you thought that you ate something terrible for your stomach but eventually, you were informed that you were already pregnant.
"But what is it?" He whined, was pouting already.
"Aha! Our anniversary—wait that was last month! You got promoted?"
You only giggled to all his answers as he only frown, trying to figure it out.
"I got promoted?"
"Nope"
"Kuroo-san got fired! That would be something to celebrate!"
"Haha, nope and I'm telling Kuroo-kun"
"Gah! No. Okay, what is it?"
You sighed as you stand up to get something from the shelf. His eyes followed you while you were busy trying to get something.
His eyes widened to see plushies on your arms. A lion, a (your favorite animal) and a little lion wearing a hoodie of (your favorite animal) and has the word 'baby' on it.
"Aha! I know it!"
Your smile grew wider as you anticipated for the word 'pregnant' but ended up, frowning just when he answered:
"You got a new business!"
You mentally face palmed. "Seriously, Lev?" He nodded. You placed the plushies on the couch and went back to sit on the chair.
"So, I'm right?" You shook your head causing your husband to pout again.
"But what is it? I can't think anything"
You sighed as you pointed the tiny box on the kitchen counter.
"Get that and open it"
He look back and saw the box as he stood up to reach it. But he sat back before opening it, just to see a pregnancy test. And it says it's positive.
"What's this?"
Now, you literally face palmed and groan at his stupidity.
"A pregnancy test, idiot"
"Who's pregnant?"
You stood up, slapping your hand on the table with great force that made him widened his eyes in fear. "Am the woman here so obviously it's me" you only grinned, not wanting to burst out in frustration.
"Oh"
"Oh" you mocked him.
"So, I'm a father now?"
"Well damn, No"
For a minute, he glanced at you and the pregnancy before his lips broke into a wide smile and ran up to you, to hug you. "Wah! (First Name)! I'm so happy"
Giving you kisses on the cheek while your face is deadpan.
That took him so long
Then your lips made contact with his as you kissed him back, cupping his cheeks and pulled him close. "I love you"
"I love you too"
Afterwards.
"You fucking idiot! (First Name) told about last night!"
"Gah! I didn't mean what I said!"
"(First Name)-chan, are you not gonna stop Kuroo from killing him?" Yaku asked, watching the cat and the lion chased each other around the pole.
"Heh, he deserved it"
"(First Name)! Help!"
