"I'm sorry but I don't feel the same way"
Your heart stopped a beat from the minute he said that. "W-What?"
You clenched your shirt your hand, reassuring if you heard right. Tsukishima looked away as he bite his bottom lip in guilt.
"I don't feel the same way" he repeated.
Your heart fell, your breathing was making it difficult. It suddenly felt like your heart. was being squeezed by a hand as tears spilling out from the corner of your eyes.
Tsukishima didn't want to see you cry, he felt bad; he didn't want to hurt and wasn't his intention to but he has to tell you the truth. So, he only closed his eyes and clenched his fist as your sobs and sniffs were getting worst.
He wanted to hug you but it might get worst.
Tears weren't stopping from streaming down on your cheeks, you couldn't handle the pain that was in your heart. Like daggers were stabbing on your heart.
It was still painful
Although you knew it all along,
"It's so painful" you mumbled, wiping with the collar of your shirt. You sniffed as you look up at Tsukishima, who is still looking away/ looking down from your gaze
"T-Thank you for listening anyway" as you let a bitter chuckle. He only nodded. "Well then, you have to go s-since you were having a practice" as he frowned but he eventually nodded and went back to the gym, he understands
You need space,
When he was finally out of sight, you sat on the floor and burst out into tears again. Your hands on your hair, slight gripping on it. "Fuck, so painful" you cursed.
