Chapter 13
Niall's POV
Working on the project with Dacey was surprisingly...fun. Well after my mom left after telling Dacey that I never told her she moved, after that it wasn't to bad.
The project was much harder than I expected though making that she has to come back over tomorrow so we can work more on it.
I had felt bad that she had been the one looking up the words and doing most of the work the whole time so I finally took the laptop and decided to look for myself.
After realizing what time it was we decided to stop. Dacey put all of her stuff back in her bag and then got up and started walking to the door. Quickly I got up and followed her. She opened the door about to leave until I spoke.
"See you tomorrow Dace" I said accidentally calling her by her nick name.
"See you tomorrow" she replied not even commenting on how I used her nick name. Then she got in her car and drove away. I closed the door and walked back over to the couch and sat down again. I started putting my work up when my mom came in the living room through the door in front of me.
"You never told me she moved." She simply stated. "When did she move?" She asked.
"Somewhere around the beginning of middle school" I stated remembering the week she just didn't show up at school.
"And she just now moved back?" My mom questioned.
"Yeah" I said answering her question and hoping she wouldn't ask why I didn't tell her. That wasn't something I wanted to talk about, I feel so bad about what I did, but we are finally friends again.
"We'll I'm glad she's back. It's nice seeing you two together again" she said smiling "it's reminds me of when you were little" she said tearing up a bit.
"Mom! Don't cry" I said hoping she wouldn't start crying talking about how I just keep growing up and will graduate soon. She just walked out of the living room leaving me alone again.
Me and Dacey are friends again I never thought that would happen.
