They're talking about me. The guards are whispering, looking at me with concern. Not concern for me, concern for themselves. "Do you think I'm dangerous?" I ask them and they quickly stop looking, stop talking and turn back to their previous positions. I try a different tactic. "Please help me." I let my voice ooze with desperation but they ignore me. "Please, you can't do this." What were they even going to do?
"Give up, Sam." Loki is slumped in the corner, eyes half-closed, mouth pressed together in a tight line. He's in pain, holding his ribs with bloodied hands. He didn't get the same treatment as the rest of us. "Give up," he repeats in the same world-weary tone. "Our best hope now is that the Avengers come to rescue us. My brother will not be pleased."
I stand up on shaky legs and the guards suddenly tense up. "Calm down," I sigh, "I was just going to ask where the restroom is."
"Isn't one."
"I need one."
"Prisoner, sit down." The taller guard prods me with his gun and I stumble backwards.
"Woah, calm down, Bob," the other guard says.
"I'm called Steven."
"Ah, don't you just hate continuity errors?" The smaller guard suddenly has a gun aimed at the other guard. "Drop the weapons and smile because today is your lucky day. Tell everyone that today, you got defeated by Deadpool."
I know it's REALLY short and I haven't updated in ages but I am making an updating schedule!
