The Wrong Path

Loosen Up

I knew that Seth would shuck up but not this badly. He came with one wound but passed out for three days not moving or talking. I visited him the fourth day and he was awake and healthy but still sitting up on his bed. "Hey Seth glad your up and awake how you feeling" I said with a worried look. "I'm good I guess" Seth said. "Oh that's great news." I said while walking up to him and smacking the back of his head. Seth rub his head "What the klunk was that for!" "That's for being really dumb and not coming back on time." "Well it wasn't my fault I saw a dead griever in the maze." I was amazed to hear that because it means they have a weakness. "Seth tell me everything you saw and did in the maze last night."
     "I was running my path like I would and ran it cutting the vines to find my way back. After that I took my break, ate my lunch and got up to walk not run. Once I turned the corner I saw a griever just dead on the floor. I knew that you wouldn't let me go and touch it so I didn't as soon as I found it I wanted to tell you so I turned and I felt so dumb that I forgot to cut the vines. I panicked and saw a griever running towards me. Climb a vine up on the wall and I waited till the griever passed me slid down got this cut. Then slept in the vines once I woke up the maze doors were right there opening. I guess the maze changes every night" Seth explained everything.
     "Take a day or two Seth. I will tell you when your ready to go back out there but right now we need to vote on what Luke and Tony should be working as. "I will take Luke he seemed pretty good out there when I trained him" Seth said. "Ok. Tony doesn't really do well with any job around here but I can't blame him he seems so young. So I guess we need to make up a new job for him he's going to become a slopper." I walked out of the room without hearing Seth opinion on it. And went over to Jenny to see what she would want. "If Seth thinks that Luke can make it in the maze without dying then he's wrong but then again Seth did train him so take my vote for him as a runner. I don't really want Tony to be left out he did seem like a good Track-hoe but if you say he's going to be a slopper then am not arguing with the leader" she said with a smile and went back to work.
     All I needed was Peyton's vote and they would get to work as soon as possible. "Peyton it's time to vote" I told her."I vote for both of them to be sloppers" she said it without hesitating. She like the others but had so much fun with Tony and Luke. She didn't want Luke to run off and miss all of Tony and her time of fun. I knew what my vote was so it was final Luke would be a runner and Tony a slopper. I told them and they both seemed excited with their new job even Tony. I started to build Seth a map room so he could out the place. After a couple of hours I took a break and napped against a tree.
====A couple of more hours later====
     We finally celebrated Luke and Tony's arrival to the glade. We made a bonfire and had drinks. We talked, laughed, and played a couple of games we made up this was actually the most fun I had ever had. Everyone fell asleep on the floor so I put out the fire and fell asleep next the guys. We all woke up the next day full of energy so I thought to myself why not have a day off. Tony suggested to play hide and seek like Luke, Peyton, and himself did. I said sure but am not looking for anyone. Instead Jenny volunteered to look for everyone. I ran towards the kitchen and climb the wall and his on top to get to the roof. It was a clear view and I got down to make sure no one else followed or saw me. It seemed like everyone was found besides Tony and I. I wondered where Tony hid himself he was short so he can fit into anything.
     Luke started to climb the building I was at and I gave up and stood up and walked toward him, pushed him off and I followed by jumping of the roof after him Everyone was now trying to find Tony. We all separated and looked in different directions. No one found him yet we looked everywhere. "I give up Tony come on out" Jenny yelled making sure he could hear her. Tony came out of the kitchen door stretching. "Where were you we looked everywhere" Jenny said with a smile. "I was hiding in the kitchen underneath a table two people passed me. I WIN!" Tony said making a happy/winner dance. Everyone relax against a tree and ate some fruit and talked. The rest of the day we all played and talked. I actually did loosen up today and it felt great to know everyone was having fun.

I don't know why but it seems like Nic is the hardest one to make up so that's why he had a lot of people around him today. The next chapter will be going back to Jenny.
