The Wrong Path

Greenies in the Maze

I went up to Gracey to talk to her for a bit. "Hey Gracey do you remember how you got in that maze?" "Well I don't remember how I got into the maze but I do remember some paths. The paths when I was running from the griever" she hesitated the first time so I could tell that half of what she said was a lie. I couldn't waste my time on it I had to go check up on everything else especially I had to see where Corah was. Corah seemed like she was working hard on building the tree fort.
     I then went to go check up on Tony who was messing around with Luke again. Tony was always the one to cheer everyone who was in a bad mood which helped a lot around here. Nic was talking with Seth about the maze which sometimes got annoying but it was important. I then went to go see Peyton who was already getting ready for lunch. It seemed like I haven't talk to her in years. "Glad to finally talk to you Peyton." "Glad to talk to you too. How's that leg of yours doing anyways?" "Pretty good still hurt when I step on it but not as much as the other days." We kept on talking until everyone came in to eat. Peyton was just glad she hasn't killed anyone with her cooking just yet.
     After lunch I would usually go to the deadheads but after the whole incident thing I wasn't going to. Instead I headed towards the maze doors and sat against them. I fell asleep for a couple of hours there and woke up hearing laughs and people talking. I saw that they finally started the celebration of Gracey arrival. I headed over and saw the same thing as always. Corah tackling people in her little game while people cheered her on. People laughing and talking while taking Corahs special drink. I sat against a log and took a sip of the drink. I was surprised that she hasn't poisoned me or the other Gladers. I watched as Gracey played Corahs game to my surprise Gracey actually won that round and everyone started to cheer for her. She seemed so great but I don't talk as much as the others do. I was mostly the quietest girl here.
     I started to laugh once I saw Seth and Nic in the circle. Our leader was tackled down by a runner. Nic looked so funny when he was on the floor embarrassed but Seth helped him up and then took all the cheers of his name in. It took a couple of hours till everyone crashed on the floor and fell asleep. Some of the Gladers went to homestead going to bed. I stayed up and helped clean up around  the fire. I stayed in a tree near the glade because I still didn't trust the deadheads yet especially when Corah was around.
=============Next Day=========
     I stayed up all night talking to the guy that was in my head which was pretty weird for me. Today I was going to run out and find out who was talking to me in my head. I ate my breakfast and took my lunch and headed for the maze doors not even waiting for Seth and Luke. Seth and Luke were talking to me about something serious but I zoned them out. I didn't mean to but I really wanted to know if this voice was real or not. It was time to run our section. I ran the direction I usually ran but the voice came back to me and gave me directions so I just followed it. "Jenny run right, left, left, straight, right, right, straight, left." Then as soon as it stopped talking to me I stopped and slowly walked forward a bit.
     I saw a shadowy figure and noticed that it was a boy coming towards me. "Hello" I yelled out to him taking out my pocket knife ready to make sure he didn't attack. Once he was a few feet away from me I slowly put down my knife. "Are you the guy who lead me here" I asked very calmly but scared to see what he would do. I don't know why I acted differently with Gracey appearing in the maze but I knew I could trust them both. "Yup that was me inside your head" he said waiting for me to lead the way. I was heading back to the glade when my stomach growled. I knew I haven't eaten my lunch yet so I sat down and split the sandwich in half. I gave the other half to the boy. We ate while talking to each other. He seemed nice enough to be trusted. We started to run back again to the glade. (with me limp running) No one was at the doors so that meant I was so early coming back. I couldn't even run that much so that was a great excuse for me to tell Nic.
      Everyone looked at the boy with a confused or shocked look. They shouldn't be so shocked Gracey came in through the maze like he did. Even though I was still confused about the whole thing too. I needed to figure out where they were coming from it would help us out so much. Nic walked up to the boy "What's your name greenie" he asked. "Kyle. You must be Nic" he said smirking while taking out his hand. Nic smile while having a confused look and shook his hand. "Jenny would you mind giving him the tour and...." "No need to do that. I like to figure things out myself." Kyle interrupted Nic. Which I tried not to laugh because Nic hates it when someone interrupts him. Nic walked off to homestead to go do his check up rounds on the girl who was still asleep.
     Gracey came running up to me and pulled me away from Kyle. He stood there looking around while Gracey talked to me. "I know him. He helped me escape W.I.C.K.E.D and he remembers how to escape this place. I do too but we both still need time to calm down and remember specific things about the maze. Don't make him a runner just yet trust me it will help us out more" she sounded so serious so I knew I could trust her. "If you remember things from here then why were you asking so many questions about the maze, the glade, and the Gladers?" "I didn't remember at the time until you guys left into the maze today." "Ok then I believe you just take some time off today. If that will help you remember how to get out of this shucking place" I said walking back over to Kyle. "You should take a break even though you haven't even got a job yet" I told Kyle. He nodded and walked off going towards Tony. I went over to the gardens to help out a bit. There was only one person that worked there but was really quiet around the glade. I now know I could trust everyone around here beside the girl who is now trying to kill me. I can't believe no one else noticed her staring at me with an evil look.
     After I have been stung I felt like I changed so much I wasn't playful as I was before I was stung. I know that I remember some of these Gladers before we were put into this maze but I couldn't quite remember how. At dinner I had my own little group at a table it was Gracey, Nic, Seth, Luke, and Tony. The other Gladers sat at the other two tables. Corah and Peyton sat together with other people which was unusual for me. Peyton would sit with us but I guess not anymore. We talked and laugh at times especially when Tony made a joke about the Gladers and the creators. It was fun but it had to stop when everyone finished their dinner.
     We all went to homestead while some of the others went to sleep in hammocks outside. I saw Corah fall asleep so I headed into the deadheads and climbed my favorite tree and lied down on a thick branch and looked up to see the stars then fell asleep on the tree branch.

The girl that came up about two days ago (I think) is NOT dead she just looks dead but she is breathing so she's fine. At least we think. This chapter was a bit boring to me even though o wrote it but it is the longest chapter I ever made. Clap clap to me lol.
