Chapter 7

We pulled into the water park soon enough and we all climbed out of Liam's horrible smelling van. AJ jumped out and took a big breath of fresh air.

"How does your van smell that bad?!" she asked, breathing in oxygen like it was her first time.

"It's a manly stench," Randy said, smiling and winking at AJ.

Liam got out of the van and grabbed all of our towels. He handed one to each of us and then we made our way to the entrance.

"Six wrist bands please," Paul said to the balding, chubby man wearing a much too tight polo shirt with the water park's logo on it.

"One hundred and twenty dollars please," he replied in a wheezy voice. I handed Paul twenty dollars for myself and the rest of our group followed my action, each handing Paul twenty dollars. Paul handed all of our money to the man behind the glass and in return we each got a wrist band. Liam handed the man another ten dollars for a locker to put our belongings in. The man handed Liam a key to a locker and then we walked through the entrance.

We all walked to where the lockers were and Liam opened one of them with his key. I grabbed another twenty out of my wallet and put it in my pocket. I don't care if the money gets wet, but I'm not going to let my leather wallet get ruined. I also put my t-shirt in the locker, because if we're gonna be here a while I don't want to end up with a farmer's tan and look all weird. The rest of the guys followed and took their shirts off to put in the locker. We put all of our towels in it as well.

I turned around to get out of the other people's way when I caught sight of Hannah stripping out of her bathing suit cover.

I think I started to drool when I noticed that she had a new, more revealing bikini on. I quickly averted my gaze, not wanting anyone - especially Liam - to notice me staring at Hannah.

"You guys ready to go or what?" AJ asked. Liam closed the locker once all of our belongings were put away in it and we all walked towards the park.

"Where to first?" Randy asked. "Personally, I think we should hit the Funnel of Fear."

AJ smiled at Randy. "That sounds like an excellent idea."

Hannah nudged her in the shoulder and then whispered in her ear something that nobody else could hear. When Hannah pulled away, AJ smiled and nodded, giving Hannah a thumbs up.

Randy clapped his hands. "Alright, let's grab a tube and head on over there before the line gets any longer."

When we got to the Funnel of Fear and each grabbed a tube. The tubes were for two people each. "Paul, wanna ride with me?" Liam asked.

Paul shrugged. "Yeah sure."

"Hey AJ, wanna ride with me?" Randy asked and winked. AJ smiled and nodded. I gulped, that meant... Hannah and I got to ride together.

Hannah nudged her elbow into my side. "Guess it's just you and me Matt," she said.

I scratched my neck nervously. "I guess so." Liam looked at me and frowned. I shrugged him off. It's not like I planned on riding with Hannah. I could've ridden with him and then Randy would ride with his brother. But nooo, he wanted to ride with Paul and mess with the system. So it's his fault, not mine.

"You know guys, I think the ride goes a lot faster when it's only one person," Liam said, looking directly at me.

Hannah shook her head. "No way, it's the Funnel of Fear, Liam. I'm not going alone." She crossed her arms. "Matt will protect me. Won't you Matt?"

I laughed nervously. "Yeah Liam, lighten up. It's just a ride."

After a few minutes, Hannah and I got on our tube. She got on the front and I got on the seat behind her. We went down the slide.
