I checked myself out in the mirror. "Not too bad," I said, admiring my reflection. I'm going to be honest. I'm not one of those people who find themselves unattractive. Let's face it, I'm a good looking guy. Simple features I suppose. Light brown hair, brown eyes, tan skin, small nose, thick eyebrows, pouty lips. No, I'm not vain. I just know I'm good looking. The only thing that would complete the hot guy look would be dimples, but sadly I don't have those. When I smile, there's no adorable craters in my cheeks. There is, however, a small dimple on my chin when I smile but it's not that noticable. Giving myself one last once over, I nodded and decided I was ready.
Ready for my date with Hannah.
And Randy.
And AJ.
Luckily, Liam had places to be tonight, so we were free to leave without one of us (me) getting knocked out for going on a date with Liam's sister. He didn't tell us where he was going, he just said he had places to be and that he wouldn't be home until tomorrow. Did it really matter? He was gone! I was free to get mah flirt on.
I met up with AJ, Hannah, and Randy at the bottom of the stairs. Hannah was definately dressed to impress. Her outfit was simple, but I still had to stop myself from drooling. She had a short sundress on. One that was strapless and revealed things that guys like to have revealed. She was also wearing a pair of pink wedges, so she came up to about the height of my forehead.
"Where are you guys going?" Paul asked. He walked around the corner and sat in one of the recliner chairs. "Follow up question: Why was I not invited?"
"I'll give you twenty bucks you keep your mouth shut about this," Randy said.
Paul's brows shot up. "Why, what's going on?"
"It's a double date, and if you don't tell Liam I'll give you twenty bucks. Deal?"
"Hmm... bring me home a candy bar and you got yourself a deal twiny-poo."
With that, Randy tossed a twenty dollar bill onto Paul's lap and we walked outside. Because all us guys had gotton here in Liam's van, and the girls took a cab, we didn't have a car. So Randy had to call a taxi service about a half hour ago. I grabbed the handle and opened the back door for everyone to get in. Randy climbed in and slid over to the far end. AJ followed his actions and slid until she came as close to Randy as possible without sitting on his lap. Hannah then got in, her leg brushing gently against mine as she slild onto the seat. I couldn't help the small jolt of electricity that shot through me. I climbed in and closed the door. It was a tight fit, but we managed.
"Where to?" the driver asked once we were all situated. The date we had planned was nothing special. Dinner at Olive Garden, and then a movie afterwards.
Randy told the driver where to take us and a while later we arrived at the restaurant. We climbed out of the cab, and once Randy was done paying the cabbie we walked inside. We waited a few minutes for a table to open up. Apparently everyone wanted to eat at Olive Garden that night.
We sat down and started a small conversation before the waitress came to take our order. I ordered ravioli, because it's my absolute favorite thing in the entire world. Hannah and Randy got the same thing, chicken alfredo, and AJ got spaghetti and meatballs.
I grabbed a breadstick and tore it in half. If there's one thing I can eat my weight in, it's Olive Garden's breadsticks. I took a bite and my tastebuds exploded in garlicy goodness.
"I love these things," Hannah said.
"I know, right? Total mouth-gasm," AJ replied. We laughed at her comment. Our food came shortly after that and we ate, creating small talk in-between bites. I was surprised that I didn't act all nervous. I mean, here I was, sitting next to the girl of my dreams in a booth that requires us to sit pretty close, and I feel fine! It was a first for me.
