But here it is! The lastest installment of Can't Spell Love Without L! :D
Cheers for the good work, everyone! :D Enjoy!
[Act 1 - Page 7]
"Ryuzaki...?"
Shaking the sleeping man gently, Amaryllis panicked when he saw a tear escaped his closed eye lids. It seems that he's having a nightmare of sorts, and she never wanted to see him like this...so vulnerable and innocent. It's not Ryuzaki at all.
"Ryuzaki..."
But the man didn't budge even a bi. The tears leaked out, making him look even weaker. Amaryllis was even worried now, because those droplets of liquid reminded her of what happened in the rooftop.
-
"I'm sorry, Amy-chan."
"Why are you apologizing?"
"... ..."
"Ryuzaki...?"
"... ... I'm...more than... a ..."
She didn't hear the last word, but she could read his lips clearly, the final word coming out lower than a whisper.
'Failure.'
And then he collapsed, his body trembling greatly, almost like convulsing, but Amaryllis was able to catch him, slowly laying him on the cold floor. She reached for her cell phone and quickly dialed Rue's number.
Because Amaryllis will never believe that Ryuzaki is more than a failure.
--
Panic started rising in her chest when Ryuzaki started to sob softly, almost inaudible, but because of the silence of the room, she was able to hear it properly. Pushing away all of the negative emotions, she gently moved him so he would be able to lay on his back.
His pale face was already soaked with the tears of his painful dreams, and since Amaryllis is determined to wipe away the grief, she first dried his eyes with a flannel, and bent down to kiss his pallid lips.
Almost there...
-
Ryuzaki felt something against his mouth, something sweet, amazingly similar to his. The aftershock of the nightmare was already wearing off, and he started to focus more. Although he was eager to see what was penetrating his mouth, he was afraid to see another series of pitch black darkness that will lead him back into the horror of his bad dream.
But when something brushed against his hand and clasped with his palm, he knew that someone was pushing him to open his eyes and continue.
With hesitation, he slowly did, and found Amaryllis kissing him softly while holding his hand, as if she was trying to extract him out of the evil world of dreams.
Ryuzaki started responding in the kiss, his eyes closed as he feel the intensity of their contact. Amaryllis felt his reply, and didn't mind if he is awake or not. At least he's responding.
Their hands entwined tightly and their kiss became rough. Ryuzaki's free hand reached for her back and pulled her closer, and Amaryllis moved according into order, her other hand gripping his silky, black hair.
Moments later, she found herself sitting in Ryuzaki's lap, almost straddling his waist. When they broke their precious contact, they were both out of breath and panting heavily, their faces flushed due to the dripping of love that covered both of them. Amaryllis leaned and laid her head on his chest, hearing his heart beat in a fast manner. He stroked her hair gently, calming both of them until they returned in composition.
"Ryuzaki..."
"Hmmm?"
"Are you alright? You were... crying earlier in your sleep."
"... ... It's just a nightmare."
Amaryllis hummed in agreement, and closed her eyes, their hand contact still not breaking as she encirle her arm around his body. Ryuzaki kissed her hair and smiled bitterly to himself.
It's just a nightmare after all. And will never happen in real life.
