AN: This chapter gave me a headache on how to make it lengthy enough. (-___-''''')
And 10 pages in Microsoft Word ಠ_ಠ
But of course, there's still the good old cliffhanger, but just read down, ne? ^__^
A somewhat freaky announcement: I will be writing another DN romance story while I'm finishing this one up. So that means more procrastination and the like :D
Oh, and just mentioning (for vanity purposes, hehehe xD) it's my birthday today (01/28)!!!!! Yay! I'm gonna get older again!~ xD
Without further ado, here's the latest installment of CSLWL. Enjoy!~

[Act 3 - Page 8]
Hazel eyes widened in surprised when he took in the appearance of the person standing in front of him, and he felt an immediate pang in his heart.
How long? How long was the last time he had seen her? Months? Years? He didn't know, and he didn't care anymore. The first thing that registered his mind was to pull her inside, say a thousand apologies, hold her, embrace her and-
"Light?"
Amaryllis went numb when she saw the brunet. Mixed emotions filled her: fear, anger, hatred, and so much more. But one thing is clear: she certainly isn’t happy to see him.
"What are you doing here?" She asked again, trying hard to control herself.
Light was broken from his reverie, and judging from the tone of her voice, she isn't very welcoming. That was redundant, after all, who would be happy to see the person who dumped you for another one?
He caught the way Amaryllis was gripping her skirt, and he immediately spoke.
"I'm...I was asked by Ryuzaki to come here. I need to discuss something with him."
The lady's eye twitched slightly and gripped the article of clothing again. She swallowed the lump forming in her throat, and forced to tear her eyes away from the staring brunet. She turned to her left and walked away, her face straight and deadpan.
"Excuse me for interrupting your rest. I'll be on my way now."
She was about to take a step when Light grabbed her arm and pulled her into a tight hug. Light managed to wrap his arms around her waist and place his other hand at the back of her head, keeping her just close enough. Amy was startled a bit; the man's heartbeat was certainly beating loudly that she was able to hear and feel it, and because of that, she hated him even more, for that reminded her the times when there were only the two of them and doing the same thing as to now.
Tears threatened her eyes, and without a word, she pushed him away, but Light was determined to keep her close. Her eyes sting, sobs escaped, and her energy drained when Light whispered her name so sensually. She disregarded the spark that she felt, and started to struggle once again.
