Thank you very much Dr_Emblem for helping me out when I was stuck. Oh boy did I need it!

We walked in the direction of the Mushroom Kingdom at a fairly brisk pace, knowing that every spared moment would give PBG a moment's advantage. Through the forest we walked, and this was quicker progress than we had ever made before. All of a sudden, Link put his arms out and stopped us. Ahead of us was a flat plain of knee high grass.
"why have we stopped? It's only grass!" Said Chrom angrily.
"this is no ordinary grass. It's tall grass."
"I think we can see that!" I sarcasticly returned. I stepped into the grass and walked a few paces in, turned, and gestured towards Link. "Link, it's just grass. Plain, ordinary, grass."
I heard a thud behind me and a shadow was cast. The figure resembled a dragon, so I knew what I was facing. A great wing swiped down and knocked me off my feet and onto my back. This wasn't a dragon. Instead of a jawed snout, there was a long orange beak. Instead of dull claws, sharp talons extruded from the creature's avian legs. It's wings replaced upper legs, and the whole bird seemed to be alight. A beautiful monster if ever I saw one. It screeched at me and began to poke me curiosly with its fine talons.
"as I said, tall grass is a bad move. This, lads, is a pokemon." Said Link interrupting the silence. As the pokemon beat its great wings, hot air blasted our faces. I wasn't quite sure of its intentions. Was it hostile, or was it docile? Even domestic perhaps? It picked up my whole body in one foot and lifted me from the ground. Was it going to eat me? Was I going to die? It turned me the right way up and softly placed my feet on the floor. What a gentle giant it was!
Suddenly, someone appeared behind it and started shouting, startling the pokemon. The man threw a strange purple and white ball with two pink spots and an 'm' on it at the pokemon and, when it was about a meter away, it opened and a red beam shot out and surrounded the pokemon. It writhed and looked almost in pain as the beam hit. The beam contracted and took the pokemon with it, decreasing its size as it went. The ball snapped shut and fell to the floor. The man who had thrown it came over and picked it up.
"finally, moltres is mine! I've been tracking him for months!" he said. He was an elderly gent in a lab coat, but seemed in his comfort zone.
"allow me to introduce myself," he said "I am professor oak. Pleased to meet you!"
