Moments later Scarlett found herself struggling against the current of the water and was forced out of the darkness gasping for air. Her arms and legs stung from the icy water that she had been underneath for minutes. She wondered why she was still alive, she thought she was supposed to be dead. Most people would consider themselves lucky when they are pushed away from death. But Scarlett couldn't help but wonder why she was still alive, she was scared to keep living with the memories.
Minutes later Scarlett washed up a mile down on the side of the river. She rolled over coughing up water, seeing that the sun was already starting to rise. She stood up slowly and staggered her way to the nearest road.
Why was Scarlett forced back up to the world?
