Cara didn't know if she should be happy or sad for the beautiful girl in front of her. She stared helplessly, and Kendall sat in front of her.

---------

The last few weeks had been rough for Kendall. With Harry going off for tour and Cara in the hospital, the loves of her life were both gone. Not to mention that anyone banned her from visiting Cara, especially Cara's family and friends, blaming it all on Kendall. Kendall understood, and knew it was her fault anyway.

But today, she had to make it special, her sister Poppy had allowed Kendall entrance to Cara's room, and when she saw Cara was happy and perfectly fine, she felt a feeling she hadn't felt in weeks...warmth and happiness. Kendall however couldn't let it show.

"Kenny," Kendall didn't flinch anymore at the name. Instead, she closed her eyes and leaned back on the chair.

"Are you okay, Miss Delevingne?"

"You know I hate that name, right?" She could hear Cara snort.

"Sorry. "

"It's fine. So...how are you doing? Harry's company and management is a bitch, you know. Don't worry about him, anymore. "

"Haha, it's okay. I don't blame Harry. We're still friends, and he told me I should go see someone else. He has people in mind for me, can you believe that?" She laughed and opened her eyes, to see Cara sitting up, smiling at her.

"Oh yeah...and who is it?" Cara got closer, and Kendall flinched and moved back, making the blonde have a deep shade of red, and lying back down.

"It's not...I'm not really looking forward to dating yet. I mean, I have a slight crush on this person named..." Kendall wanted so badly. She wanted so badly to say Cara, but she held her tongue.

"Connor...he's really nice. " and as she looked at Cara, she felt a twinge in her heart. Cara looked disappointed, but quickly brushed it off.

"Good luck then, Kenny. But you know, I still love you. So if you're ever-"

"Cara don't bring this up again. You and I both know we're not doing this. I can't. I'm straight now, Cara. "

"It's sad, but...yeah okay. I understand. But I have one question to ask, if you don't mind, Kenny. "

"Sure. "

"When you saw me that day, in the streets, being mobbed by the paparazzi, why did you decide to help me? You hated me, didn't you?" Kendall looked away. Even she frankly didn't know how to answer that. Because I love and was worried sick about you, Cara.

"I don't know, just that you looked like a helpless puppy and I couldn't stand to see you there. " Cara wanted more, but she smiled at the answer and nodded.

"Thanks, Kenny. I love you. "

"I love you too," Kendall suddenly said. She gasped, at the sudden realisation, and looked away, feeling her cheeks flush. She could tell Cara was smirking at her, before Kendall got up and started packing her things. This was not what I wanted. I wanted to talk to Cara. Not this.

As Kendall returned to her apartment, she felt a weird sense of longing. No, not to Harry, but to the blonde she just visited. She checked on her every single day, watched as everyone visited and left, only visited when the girl was asleep, but never once Kendall had thought why she did that. It was her fault, but why? She shouldn't have cared, just walked off. Cara would be better off without her anyway. No, that's not true. Kendall remembered when she first left Cara, the only texts she received daily were how much Cara had missed her, but she wouldn't reply. It pained her too much to do so. Kendall could feel the room spinning, and plopped down on the couch, letting herself rest. With the amount of blood she's donated over the weeks, it was a miracle she was alive. The staff even genuinely thought Kendall was Cara's girlfriend because of how willing she was, when she hasn't even been taking care of her own body well. Living on a strict diet of alcohol and caffeine was not treating her right. She couldn't think straight at work, and sometimes had blackouts. Kendall quickly didn't think much of it, though.

---------

"Home!" Cara said as she ran from the car and unlocked her house. Suki chuckled, and helped her pick up her luggage and some clothes. She was glad her friend was well enough again, and honestly Suki has never felt more protective.

"Okay, Cara settle down. These are your painkillers, use them when you need to, these are your other stuff which frankly I don't know and don't give a shit about, and these are your bandages in case anything goes wrong. If you need me, I'll be in the guest room. I'm staying here for a week. " Suki said as she plopped down the stuff. Cara smiled, but grinned at Suki as sweetly as she could. The girl arched an eyebrow.

"Do one more favour for me and call Kendall to come over, pleaseeeeee Suki?" She said, pleading and kneeling to the floor. Suki laughed, and nodded. She'd been getting to know this Kendall girl well, and honestly, she wasn't like a lot of Cara's exes who were rude and pretentious. Kendall was one of the most down to earth people she knew, and she also knew for a fact that Kendall and Cara still both love each other.

"Suki?" The soft voice on the other end answered.

"Your girlfriend's wanting you to come over. She's been discharged FYI. "

"Suki, she's not my girlfriend! And...I have w- you know what. Tell her to wait. I'm coming. "
Cara could hear Kendall and practically squeaked and jumped for joy.

"Thank you Suki thank you!" She smiled and hugged her friend so tightly. Suki chuckled, and only whispered,"If she says yes to be your girlfriend once again, I will buy your wedding rings, deal?" Cara only giggled and nodded. This was the Cara she loved. The lovable, adorable side of her. The player and womanizer side of Cara was what everyone saw. Only Kendall could bring out the lovable side of Cara again. Only Kendall.

When the doorbell rang half an hour later, Suki stayed in her room while Cara bounded for the door. She unlatched it carefully, before she saw the beautiful queen right in front of her. However, Kendall wasn't paying attention to her. Oh right, this was her house too.

"Do you want to come in or...?"

"You haven't changed this one bit since I left. Heck, I even remembered the mark I left over there, when we...you know. " Kendall pointed at the wall, where there was a slight dent from Cara being too rough with Kendall that night. She smiled, and hugged Kendall. This time, the brunette didn't push her away. She's warming up to me.

"Yeah, that night was magical. You brought clothes? "

"Suki told me to. Don't know why. "

"Remember when this house only had two bedrooms?"

"Yeah, the one on the left was and always will be mine. Mind leading me to it?"

"Yeah, but slight problem. " Kendall gave her a puzzled look.

"What?"

"Suki's staying over...so you're going to stay in our old room. With me. " Oh, Kendall thought.

"That's...fine I guess. "

"This isn't the old Kendall that knew me when there was Harry. The old Kendall would stare at me in disgust and move away. " Cara laughed.

"Sorry, so do you want old Kendall or new inviting Kendall, willing to give us a second try?"

Cara gulped. Did she really just say that?
