Oh, yes. I feel BRILLIANT!! Brand new!! I ruffled my hair and looked at the astonishment on Rory and Alex's faces. "Oh come ON! You lot look like you never have seen a regeneration before!!" I walked over to the Doctor. "'Ello, Sweetie. Good to finally remember everything. Oh, that body was so... so... Boring. I don't know why I didn't do that earlier!" He smiled at me and said with his cheesy grin "River. Oh, River!! You look BRILLIANT!! I'm so glad you remember! Tell me, how much do you remember, exactly?" I smiled and kissed him. "Spoilers!! You know you can't know everything!!" I walked over to Rory. "'Ello, father dear. Miss me?" I kneeled down next to Amy. One tear fell off my face. The one that hung there before I regenerated. The one piece of my old self, the one that looked like Amy. "I love you, Mum. I will never forget you." I whispered into her ear. I got up and walked over to Alex.
"Hey Alex! Don't be scared. It's me, Riv!! Your best friend from pre-school?" I smiled and picked her up off the ground. I pulled her into a hug. She crushed my ribs and nestled her face into my neck. She stared crying. "W-what's wrong, Alex? Why are you upset?" She pulled her head out of my neck and loosened her grip. "Do you not... not recognize me?" She said, clearly holding back more tears. "Alex, you are my best friend. My sister. Of course I recognize you!!" I don't understand what she was saying. The Doctor walked up behind me and turned me around. He handed me a folded slip of paper. "Here. It's the paper that blasted at me the night we met. I didn't want to give you the paper until I was sure you were ready. And, judging by your new-found look, I think you're ready." I looked at him. The paper. The one I was thinking about. I was already telling myself not to open it. The look on the Doctor's face that night scared me. But, I am River Song. Child of the TARDIS. I am brave. I unfolded the note. It read:
Hello, Doctor. It is time. Time for your family to be reunited. It all starts with River Song. You may not remember her fully, but she holds your heart very close. Then there is Alexandria Filia-Doctorus. She is River's daughter lost in time. I am sure you are familiar with the name Alex. It is the name of your great-grandson, but of course, he is dead by now. But she is special to you. She is able to telepathically connect with you. Do you know what the words 'Filia' and 'Doctorus' mean? That's right. Doctor's daughter. That's all. "Wh-what does this mean, Doctor?" I couldn't even comprehend what was going on. "It means that you are Alex's lost mother and I am her father. She is the girl lost in time." Alex started to cry again. "I-I would have remembered my own child. And, besides, we haven't even gotten married. And my mother is dead. How am I still here?" I'm getting lightheaded. Just got a new body and now I am getting news that my best friend is my daughter? "I-I have to-to sit d-down." I was loosing my breath. Rory caught me as I fell. "No. NO! I will not loose the two most important girls in my life!" He screamed. "DOCTOR!! HELP ME!" He ordered the Doctor. I felt two strong, gentle arms cradle me and I was moving. I was- moving. Then I blanked.
