"You have entered the realm of the Daleks!!! The Doctor is here!! The Doctor has friends!!! State your names or you will be exterminated!!" We were surrounded by an army of Daleks. "Do not hurt them! They mean nothing to you. It's me you want." The Doctor and his big mouth. Trying to save us. "You trespassed in the realm of the Daleks!!" The one Dalek turned into one army. "EXTERMINATE!!!!" The army screamed. "Run." The Doctor said, grabbing my hand. We ran into a hallway and I unlocked a door with the Doctor's sonic I stole from his pocket earlier. He looked at me in surprise and said "Wh-Wh-How?" While he was flailing his arms around and making a fuss. I said "Not the time, dear." He sighed and rolled his eyes then we all got inside the door and I locked it back behind us. "Ok. 1. What the HECK are those? And 2. How did you get on bad terms with them?" Alex questioned The Doctor. "Daleks. Really hard to explain them. Only thing is to run when they yell. It usually means they are going to-" I cut him off. "Exterminate you. They shoot lasers that completely rip your flesh off your body then, reattach it all. So they basically-" The Doctor cut me off. "They basically shock you to death. And we have a.... History. They fought in the Time War." They started banging on the door. "BACK UP, THEY'RE COMING IN!!!" I said, pulling out my blaster. The door was melted down and Daleks poured in. Five of them came in and lined up, blockading the door. "Listen. I'm asking you. Just let us go and we promise not to do any harm to you." The Doctor said calmly. "You are the Doctor. Weak without your TARDIS. Stupid Doctor. Lonely, stupid, pathetic Doctor. No one to live for but your associates." One of the Daleks said. "Hey!! You do NOT insult my father!!" I tried to hold her back. "Alex. Don't." The Doctor said, helping me hold her. She managed to push through our grip. The Dalek screamed "YOU ARE A THREAT!! YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED!!" It shot a laser at Alex and she was knocked down. "ALEX!!" The Doctor and I both screamed. We knelt down next to her. Standing up slowly, I pulled up my blaster. "You!!" I pointed my blaster at the Daleks and shot them all until the only one left was the one that shot my daughter. "You will be exterminated!!"
"Not yet. You're messing with the wrong girl" I said, through my gritted teeth.
"Records indicate you will show mercy. You are an associate of the Doctor!"
"I'm River Song. Check your records again." I aimed for the Dalek's head. After a few minutes of it searching it's records (for the magnificent technology they're made of, it sure does take them a while to search records.), it quietly said "...Mercy." "Say again?" "Mercy!" It groaned. "One. More. Time." I pushed my teeth together until they felt like they were going to shatter.
"MERCYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!" It screamed. "Sorry." I said sarcastically. I pulled the trigger as tears rolled down my face. I turned to Alex lying down on the floor. The Doctor was already on the floor crying. "River. Help. My sonic. Please." I bent down and pulled the sonic out of my coat and handed it to him. He scaned Alex. "She's not dead, but she's not alive. We need to take her back to the TARDIS. She'll be safe there." "But what about the Daleks? There are hundreds if them waiting to kill us." I asked. "Not the time, dear." He said, mimicking my earlier remark. He got up, carrying Alex and put something on my wrist. The Vortex Manipulator. I breathed and pressed in the coordinates of the TARDIS. We zapped there in an instant. Amy and Rory ran up to us. "River? Doctor? What happened?" Amy asked. "What happened to Alex?" Rory said staring at her limp body laid across the Doctor's arms. "She's-She's-" I couldn't get it out. I threw myself into Amy's arms. "She got shot by one of the Daleks. We don't know if she'll make it or not." The Doctor finished my sentence as he walked by us to Alex's room. He stopped at the beginning of the hallway and spun around to look at us. "The last Time Lord to be born, who just so happens to be my daughter, was just shot by one of my most hated enemies. This will not show mercy on the Daleks. Tell them this is not over. Tell them that the only one dying today will be them. Tell them that the realm of the Daleks has just been..." He stopped. He was screaming, his voice getting louder and louder while he spoke. Then he took a breath and calmed down a little. "Exterminated" he said softly through his gritted teeth, and disappeared in the hallway.
